David and Vanessa Gunning own this larger than average cottage dates back to 1771 and is set within a tranquil and picturesque setting just four kms from the 12 km long Lac de Guerledan which has several sandy beaches.. The cottage benefits from just under two acres of gardens and has recently been renovated to a very high standard. The cottage has its own heated in-ground private pool and has a motion detector alarm system to comply with French safetyregulations. All of the cottage is on the ground floor although there are two steps leading from the living accommodation to the third bedroom and family bathroom and a further three steps leading to the master and second-bedroom.
The spacious lounge and comtemporary kitchen/dining room is open-plan with a dual aspect to the front and rear gardens giving a light and airy feel to the cottage. All the amenities are there for a self catering holiday including, Hobb, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, coffee maker and fridge freezer.
Large comfy sofas are ideal to catch up with tv on the Smart tv which can be used to view your own prime, Disney or Netflix programmes. A large dining table is situated between the lounge and kitchen. A modern extremely well equipped kitchen with built in oven/ hob, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge freezer . Everything is included for a self catering holiday. The spacious master bedroom has a large king size bed with modern light oak wardrobe and chest of drawers, which then leads to a large en-suite shower with walk-in shower, hand basin and w.c. A pellet burner is in the main living area for use during the cooler months.
The second and third bedrooms are twins with two single beds and share a family bathroom with bath (shower above), hand basin and w.c .A large outdoor patio with table and chairs takes advantage of the stunning countryside views. Large charcoal bbq and additional seating area with a fire pit for the chillier evenings. Lots of shade available whether it’s using one of the parasols or sitting under the large cherry tree.
The private heated swimming pool is approx 8m x4m and has a motion debtor alarm to comply with french law. An ideal base to explore the Breton countryside or just sit and relax by the swimming pool.
A large selection of books and toys are available in the cottage along with a choice of DVDs.
