Maison Fermontes is a house with a soul. The bright entrance hall connects the main house with a beautifully restored 17th century tobacco barn, where three of the four bedrooms are located, plus a modern bathroom. The master bedroom upstairs is a gem, with authentic wooden beams and its own beautiful veranda with an extra double bed under a mosquito net. Sleeping outside with a view of the starry sky, being woken up by the morning light and chirping birds – an unforgettable experience.
The fourth bedroom is located in a separate studio with its own entrance, a kitchen corner and a bathroom. Ideal for those seeking privacy – or for an older couple, teenager or befriended couple.

The attractive, well-equipped kitchen invites you to cook with local products. Inside, the house stays pleasantly cool, even on hot days. Outside it is pure enjoyment. Here you can hear the silence. The rippling road next to the house leads you straight into the forest. Hiking maps are already waiting for you.

At Maison Fermontes you will find the perfect balance between peace and bustle. The Dordogne region is rich in history and nature. A quarter of an hour's drive away is the Dordogne river itself – the place for swimming, sunbathing, canoeing and picnicking on scenic, shady beaches, from busy to wonderfully secluded. Or visit the Lac du Causse, a truly beautifully situated lake with a large and fine sandy beach, clear water and plenty of water sports opportunities.
Culture and connoisseurs will also get their money's worth. The region is bursting with castles, caves and atmospheric medieval towns. Think of Rocamadour, an impressive pilgrimage site against a cliff, or the magical Gouffre de Padirac: an underground river in a gigantic sinkhole. Other must-sees include Turenne, Collonges-la-Rouge, Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne – all declared 'Les Plus Beaux Villages de France'.
