Located in the historic center of the authentic fishing village of Marseillan in southern France, this cottage for 2 people offers everything you could wish for a wonderful holiday at the coast:
A cozy house with a semi-covered terrace and BBQ to enjoy the sultry summer evenings with a glass of rosé.
The bakery, shops, restaurants and bars are within walking distance, and the best oysters of the region and especially the beautiful Etang de Thau and the Mediterranean Sea are nearby. By arrangement, you can use our sailing boat (during high season) and spend a wonderful afternoon sailing along the oyster beds of the Etang de Thau. Or grab the vintage (folding) bicycles and cycle via the harbor along the Etang - where you can see the flamingos on the coastline - to one of the oyster restaurants with a view of Sète and Agde.
Layout of the house:
The house, completely renovated in 2023, is located in one of Marseillan's characteristic colorful narrow streets. You enter the living room with sitting area and small desk, there is a toilet and a cupboard with washing machine. We have preserved the authentic features of the house, such as the old spiral staircase, wooden beams, and old doors.
The spiral staircase takes you to the 1st floor with bedroom and adjacent bathroom with sink and walk-in shower.
On the 2nd floor, where the sunlight shines towards you, is the open kitchen with dining area and access to the terrace with BBQ. You can also hang a hammock there to enjoy the Mediterranean sun.
There is WiFi and air conditioning. Parking is available in various (free) parking spaces not far from the house. By arrangement you can use our sailing boat, which is moored in the port of Marseillan.
