In the immediate vicinity is a lot of unspoiled nature where you can make beautiful walks and bike rides. Pierradore is a luxurious, tastefully decorated villa on the outskirts of the quaint wine village of Assignan. Equipped with all comforts and quietly located. The villa is very spacious and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in addition to the spacious kitchen and living room. Pierradore has air conditioning, a tower room furnished as a library and a 4-person Finnish sauna. Located on a cul-de-sac with a garden that offers complete privacy. 

Garden and swimming pool:
The villa has a Mediterranean garden of 1560m2 full of flowers, almond trees, olive trees and fragrant rosemary bushes and lavender. The garden offers ample opportunity to sit in the shade or in the sun. There is shade on the covered terrace, from the trees and from umbrellas. The spacious, beautiful swimming pool (depth 0.6 m-1m80) with walk-in stairs and underwater lighting can be heated and there is 1 swimming elastic available for static swimming, allowing you to swim an endless lap. There is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. There are 2 dining tables and there is a jeu de boules court and a fixed barbecue. From the garden you have panoramic views over the vineyards and the mountains of the Hérault, and on clear days you can even see the Pyrenees. The villa is cozy and very well furnished.

Layout of the villa:
The entrance is a spacious hall with access to the toilet. There is a fully equipped open kitchen with complete inventory for 6 people. The kitchen has a ceramic hob and electric oven. The attractive lounge/dining room with wood stove, china cabinets, comfortable sofas and a large dining area. There is a HD TV 102 cm, DVD and music system. Fast internet via fiber optics. The large sliding doors provide access to the covered terrace with the swimming pool. The living area also has patio doors leading to the additional terrace behind the villa.

There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, one of which has vanity unit. These are well insulated from each other with regard to noise. Both rooms have box spring beds, wardrobes and patio doors to the covered terrace and swimming pool. The bathroom is located next to the bedrooms and has a bath, separate spacious shower, sink and toilet. All rooms are connected to the central air conditioning and heating.

The cozy tower room/library on the first floor has a comfortable sofa bed for 2 people, parquet floor and extensive book selection. French doors to the balcony with stunning views of the surroundings. In the utility room there is a large fridge / freezer, microwave, dryer and washing machine and access to the garage/living room, the Finnish sauna and a second bathroom with shower room and vanity unit. The pool heating must be requested at least one week before arrival (the water will be about 5 degrees warmer). 

Bread service:
At the beginning of Assignan, just before the roundabout and opposite the church, there is a bread machine. It contains various types of delicious fresh bread and croissants. Except on Wednesdays, this vending machine is filled 2x daily. Pay by bank card or cash.  There is also a shop in the village in the Rue de l'Eglise, where you can buy bread and nice local products. 

Assignan Information:
Assignan is an old wine village in the Languedoc with seven wine estates and three excellent restaurants (La table has a Michelin star), €, €€ and €€€. Here you can enjoy walks and bike rides in the beautiful nature to your heart's content, and tasty meals on sun-drenched terraces. There are regular fairs, parties or events in Assignan or in the surrounding area.

Environmental tips:
The charming town of Saint Chinian is 8 minutes by car from Pierradore and offers a supermarket, fresh market (on Thursdays and Sundays) and bicycle rental. Charming towns of Narbonne and Béziers (30 minutes) have a very large range of shops. The Mediterranean beaches are only 40 minutes by car. Within an hour you are in the charming towns of Pezenas and Carcasonne. In larger cities Montpellier and Perpignan you can be in an hour and a half. A 2-hour drive will take you to Toulouse, Nîmes and Figueres in Spain.
