2024 fully booked, still options in our mobile homes in Champs Romain. This holiday home is part of an ensemble that was once a large farm. The holiday home is located in what used to be the barn and stables for the cows. Everything has been rebuilt and renovated and equipped with all modern conveniences.
The large living room includes a wood stove and is equipped with TV, DVD and satellite. From the living room you enter the open and fully equipped kitchen/diner.
The kitchen-diner has a large and cozy kitchen table where you can enjoy a delicious meal. The kitchen/diner also contains a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, large refrigerator with freezer and all other kitchen appliances that will make your stay a luxurious holiday.
On the ground floor there is also a bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom.
From the kitchen you enter the lovely garden through 2 large French doors. Here you will find garden furniture, play equipment for the children, plenty of shady spots and of course a beautiful swimming pool (8 x 4 m). The swimming pool is shared with the manager(s), if present.
On the 1st floor you will find 3 bedrooms: one bedroom with a double bed, the other 2 bedrooms each with 2 single beds. A bathroom with toilet and bath completes this floor. Each bedroom also has ample closet space to store clothing and other items.
In the summer it is on average 7 degrees warmer here than in the Netherlands. Excursions and trips in the area can be a welcome change from enjoying the peace, the sun, the swimming pool and lazing around. How about a visit to the cool caves of Villars, shopping in Limoges or Angouleme, a visit to the castle of Jumilhac (very large and almost entirely accessible), swimming in the various lakes in the vicinity of the holiday home or walking and cycling in the sun or shade.
The area is also nice to spend time in spring and autumn.
The area is characterized by its rolling landscape, many extensive farmlands and forests and especially the many castles.
In Chalus, a town less than 5 km away, King Richard the Lionheart was murdered by an arrow in the early Middle Ages. The castle, at least part of it, can still be admired. The castle is part of the Richard Lionheart route, a route that includes many castles, country houses and, above all, delicious restaurants.
If you drive further south, you will arrive in the beautiful Dordogne with places such as Perigueux, Thiviers and Brantome.
All in all, the environment is very varied and there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Absolute tranquility, accompanied by sounds that belong in the countryside, make your stay a true experience when it comes to relaxing, good food and enjoying whatever it can be....
We hope to welcome you and that you especially enjoy our holiday home and the surrounding area!
It may be annoying to report, but charging an electric car is not possible and not permitted. However, this is possible in the nearby village.
Goodbye and Au Revoir!
