The spacious holiday home is located on the edge of the Dordogne. The holiday home is located on the beautiful grounds of Château de Joffreny. The house is built in a totally renovated barn, which originally served as stables. The site is 9ha with a beautiful park, a swimming pool that opens in June depending on the weather, a river, and plenty of privacy.

The holiday home has its own entrance, two floors, and WIFI throughout.
On the ground floor is the first of the two living rooms, a bedroom with a double bed and a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
On the ground floor you will also find the washing machine.
On the first floor is the second living room, with kitchen and dining area with a view over the park.
In addition, on the first floor you will find the second and third bedroom with a double bed, and the fourth bedroom with two single beds.
On the first floor there is also a bathroom with shower and toilet.
The living rooms are equipped with TV (with Dutch/English and German channels), CD and DVD player.

For your safety, the gite is equipped with a fire extinguisher, smoke detector and CO2 detector. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with a large freezer compartment, gas stove with oven, microwave and dishwasher.

Behind the house is a private courtyard which is completely at the disposal of our guests.
The courtyard garden is equipped with sufficient garden furniture and a barbecue.
Any bicycles or other large items can be safely parked in the inner passage of the gite; the intermediate passage can be locked.

The swimming pool is located on the grounds of Château de Joffreny, right next to the holiday home.
The use of the pool is shared with the owners, but is only used by the owners when tenants are not there. The pool is open from mid-June to mid-September, weather permitting.

The grounds around the pool are spacious enough to play football or badminton, for example.

Distance from Amsterdam 950 km. SurroundingsThe nearest village of Chalus (5 km) has all the necessary amenities, such as several large supermarkets, restaurants and pizzerias, a post office, a bank, several ATMs, doctor (always take your EHIC card within Europe, sometimes it is on the back of your insurance card (otherwise ask your insurer for free. This prevents you from having to advance doctor's costs.) and pharmacy, garage and newsagents .

You can do a lot in the area, even with children. About 1 km from the holiday home is the village of Bussière-Galant, which has a landscaped playground with a large lake for swimming and pedal boats. You can also play miniature golf there, and there is the Velo-Rail (pedaling bicycles on an old train track with a length of 6 km).
In the immediate vicinity there is ample opportunity for horseback riding, golf, mountain biking or karting. The karting area is about 15 minutes away from us and is in the open air.

The gite is located near the castle route of Richard the Lionheart: Nexon, Cussac-Bonaval and about 30 minutes Saint Leonard de Noblat and Segur le Chateau. Other beautiful places in the area that are definitely worth a visit are, for example, the porcelain and university town of Limoges (37 km), the large Wednesday morning market in Piegut, the romantic Perigueux (60 km), the cozy Brantome (40 km) and the chic Bordeaux (200km).

Rent
The holiday home is rented per 2 weeks, from Saturday to Saturday.
June € 2600 per two weeks; July and August € 2800 per two weeks and € 4000 per 3 weeks.

Towels and bed linen and cleaning based on 2 hours are included in the rental price. The deposit is € 600.
Dogs allowed at € 10-- per day in consultation.
