In the heart of the Alps, in the Chablais natural geopark, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is the Col du Corbier, part of the municipality of Le Biot.

Our apartment (1260m) is located in the chalet-style 'Residence de Drouzin' and has a breathtaking view over the Vallee d'Aulp and the surrounding mountains. It is a pleasant place to be in both summer and winter. In summer, hikers in particular get their money's worth here. Le Residence is located at a junction of walking routes, both green, blue and red, for every walking level. In addition to walking, you can swim in Lac Montriond (15 minutes), where safe places for children are also cordoned off with supervision in the months of July and August.

Children can also take pony rides around the lake. In St. Jean d'Aulp it is possible for both adults and children to go horse riding. You can also rent mountain bikes. You can go out with sled dogs in Chatel (16 km), which are harnessed to carts in the summer, a fantastic experience. You can also experience an unforgettable experience with birds of prey in Chatel. Every week Chatel has a program especially for children. Furthermore, there are lakes, viewpoints, local cheese farms and much more to visit at distances of less than 15 minutes. The impressive "Gorges du Pont du Diable" is well worth a visit. Evian is a beautiful place on Lake Geneva with a free funicular, an 18-hole golf course, a spa and along the boulevard there are beautiful buildings from 'la Belle Epoque'. And food... there is a restaurant in almost every village.

The Col du Corbier offers visitors a peaceful and rugged environment and is a family-friendly resort. In winter, the Col du Corbier is certainly ideal for families with (very) young children for a first trip in the snow and for tobogganing trips. There is a beginners' slope that is also suitable for children. This way, parents, but also grandparents, can watch the first ski lessons of the (grand)children in the sun on the terrace of the adjacent restaurant, while enjoying a cup of coffee, for example. Hikers can enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the great outdoors. The nearest ski slope for experienced skiers is 5 km away. In 15 minutes you can be in Morzine, in 10 minutes in Abondance and in 20 minutes in Avioraz. (Portes du Sloleil) Bus connections are also available. The Roc d'enfer ski area in St. Jean d'Aulps also offers 50 km of slopes for all levels in a beautiful and unspoilt environment.

Our comfortably furnished apartment is located on the fourth floor and has a lift. The cozy living room has a fireplace and a view of the Vallée d'Aulp and the surrounding mountains. The 10-meter balcony has enough room for everyone. The view is breathtaking, both during the day and the beautiful sunsets in the evening. The large flat screen TV has a satellite connection (French TV and English TV) and there is free WiFi. The apartment is bright, even in winter and a ski box is at your disposal as well as 2 parking spaces. There are no sofa beds in the living room, but normal comfortable sofas. This makes converting beds every evening and morning unnecessary.

There are three bedrooms; two with a double bed (190x140) and one with a four-person bunk bed; so 2 x 1m40x2m00. Bed linen can be rented. There are two bathrooms; one with a sink, toilet and shower and one with bath and sink. There is also a separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, induction hob, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, refrigerator, freezer, hand blender and sufficient crockery and pots and pans.
