Enjoy a relaxed ski holiday in the heart of the French Alps at Chalet Le Roc, our privately hosted, fully catered chalet in Châtel, part of the extensive Portes du Soleil ski area.
Sleeping up to 8 guests across 4 ensuite bedrooms, Chalet Le Roc is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Whether you're travelling with family or a group of friends, you'll have the space to enjoy your holiday together, with all the comforts of a privately hosted chalet.
The Chalet
The chalet offers four comfortable bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. Flexible double and twin arrangements are available in selected rooms, making it suitable for couples, friends and families.
The spacious living and dining areas provide somewhere to relax together after a day on the mountain. Outside, guests can enjoy a private hot tub, perfect for unwinding after skiing.
Private parking is available for up to three cars.
Fully Catered Holidays
We're Luke and Grace, your hosts at Alpine Friends. We live in a separate part of the chalet and personally take care of the catering and hosting, leaving you free to enjoy your holiday.
Our catered holidays include:
- Daily breakfast to start your day on the slopes
- Afternoon tea and homemade treats when you return
- Six freshly prepared evening meals during a seven-night stay
- Wine served with dinner
- Welcome drinks on arrival
- An honesty bar for additional drinks
We aim to create a friendly, informal atmosphere with good food and attentive service, without the formality of a hotel.
Location & Skiing
Châtel is a traditional French Alpine village offering excellent access to the Portes du Soleil, one of the world's largest interconnected ski areas, spanning France and Switzerland.
The free ski bus stops approximately 150 metres from the chalet, with the Linga ski lifts around five minutes away by bus. The Pré-la-Joux lifts are also a short drive away, providing excellent access towards Avoriaz and the wider ski area.
When snow conditions allow, it's even possible to ski back towards the chalet.
Châtel also offers plenty for non-skiers, including scenic winter walks, snowshoeing, restaurants, shops and family activities.
Flexible Stays
We offer exclusive catered chalet holidays of 5–7 nights, with Saturday or Sunday arrivals depending on availability.
