"La maison de ma tante"

The detached house has a cozy kitchen with authentic elements, such as a large fireplace, a bread oven and a working stove. A large dining table and a stainless steel 5 burner gas stove with electric oven, refrigerator, there is no dishwasher. On the ground floor to the left of the kitchen is "Tantes" room, an old style bedroom with authentic French double bed (190x120cm). Behind the kitchen is the cozy living room with wood fireplace. A "hidden door" to the cave and door to the garden. Through the side of the kitchen you reach the large bathroom with separate toilet, both on the ground floor and the stairs leading upstairs.
The 2 other spacious bedrooms are located on the 1st^floor. Front bedroom with cot, double sofa bed and a double bed (consisting of two single beds of 200x90cm). The other bedroom with large velux window has a double bed of 200x180cm. What remains is a large attic with velux window, sofa, games, books and possibility for extra sleeping places (i.o.). In the morning you can have breakfast from the kitchen with a cup of coffee on the street...

The baker comes by here with croisans and baguettes. How French do you want it to be? At the back is a seating area, an outdoor room, the stone stairs take you to the garden which is slightly higher and is south facing, this is equipped with a sheep wire fence all around (1700m2 and "dog safe"). Overall, the house is comfortable, attractive and sweetly decorated, with more than enough space for 6 people (230m2) 

The area
Our authentic family house "la maison de ma tante" is located between Langres and Bourbonne-les-Bains. In the Champagne Ardennes region. Somewhat hidden is the lovely village of Arbigny sous Varennes. Here in the middle of this beautiful natural beauty you will find badgers, foxes, boars and deer, it is also a beautiful place for bird lovers. Experience the peace, the silence and at night the beautiful starry sky with the milky way. 

Recreation
Take a bike, mountain bike or go hiking. Close to us is the GR®7 and Saint Jacques Lorraine (Santiago de Compostela) but we also have hiking trails of an hour. Horseback riding with Mijanou, with 4 horses through the woods (book in advance). Relax on one of the lakes around the beautiful fortified town of Langres. Fish in one of the many fishing ponds in this area. Wine tasting in a nearby cave. A day of doing nothing with a nice massage from Femmy, she is a massage therapist.

We rent including bed linen, towels and kitchen linen. There is good Wifi and no TV.

Exclusive
Electricity consumption is separate and will be settled later. Table d'hôtes at "comme ca" on reservation. Pets fee separately. 

Details
Pets in consultation (i.o.). In the village there is a cozy café / terrace nearby with a beautiful view for a drink or a bitterbal. On Wednesdays there are pancakes and as a gite tenant you can use their table d'hôtes. There is also a mini campsite with a yurt and gypsy wagons for rent.
