L'arbre des roses is a holiday home suitable for up to 6 people. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a spacious living room with open kitchen. On the ground floor you will find the kitchen and living room. From the living room you have access through 2 doors to the large balcony (30 m2). There is also a bedroom and a bathroom. From sunrise to sunset the sun shines on the balcony! On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The basement contains a bedroom, a sitting area and a bathroom. This has created a separate studio with the necessary privacy. Ideal for, for example, traveling parents or children. The house is comfortably furnished with an open kitchen with all appliances including an oven / microwave and a dishwasher. The wood stove and electric heaters keep the house comfortably warm, even in winter. The TV in the living room receives, among other things, all Dutch channels. In the bathroom in the basement is the washing machine. Wifi is available for free. On the covered terrace in front of the basement it is nice to stay in warm weather. The terrain of about 2000 m² rises steeply. The house is at the top. On the terrain there are various trees and rocks. The back of the house - where the entrance is located - lies at the end of a dead-end asphalted private road. Behind the house is sufficient parking for 2 to 3 cars.

Ada and Piet Gorter were looking for years across France in 2007 both fell in love with this place and built l'Arbre des Roses. Completely according to our own design, so that it has become exactly what we wanted; a beautiful, spacious, comfortable holiday home in the most beautiful part of France. The environment is characterized by the high mountains of the Hautes Alpes where peace, space and nature are fully present. To the south you enter the northern part of Provence where the mountains become lower and the surroundings are characterized by vineyards and fruit trees. The villages (for example Sisteron) on the rivers are worth a visit. Towards the west you enter the Drôme with the lavender fields (les baronnies) and picturesque villages. For a good glass of wine on a terrace, go to Gap (with a nice historic center) or to Serres where you can taste the Provençal atmosphere. In the vicinity of the house you can find several restaurants from the hotel within 2 km from the house, to the good French cuisine (Les Olivades) in Gap. Summer: In the summer several mountain hikes on the Ceüse are possible from the house. The Devoluy and Les Ercins National Park are within easy reach by car and offer an almost infinite range of walks and other mountain sports (mountain biking, climbing, rafting, canyoning, etc ..). The Lac de Serre-Ponçon reservoir near Gap can be reached by car in about 35 minutes. You can sail and surf on this lake. In addition, in Pelleautier, at about 10 minutes from the house, a smaller lake with beach for the necessary cooling. Winter: In winter there are extensive winter sports facilities in the area around the house. You can ski on the Ceuse itself, provided there is enough snow. The ski station of the Ceuse is about 2 km from the house. In addition, beautiful walks can be made in winter, with or without snow shoes. About 30 minutes drive away is the ski resort Le devoluy with the villages la Joue du Loup and SuperDevoluy. This is a snow-sure ski area with about 100 km of pistes, suitable for beginners to well advanced skiers. In addition, various other winter sports can be practiced in the Devoluy

Gap is de levendige hoofdstad van het departement Hautes Alpes. Je vindt er tal van winkels, maar in het leuke centrum ook gezellige terrasjes en een keur aan restaurants.
Bijna elk jaar is er wel een aankomst en/of etappestart van de Tour de France en dat is ook voor niet wielrenners een hele belevenis.

Het nationaal parc les Ecrins biedt schier ongelimiteerde mogelijkheden om te wandelen, mountainbiken en alle denkbare bergsporten te beoefenen

Op zo'n 40 minuten rijden ligt het Lac de Serre Poncon. Verkoeling aan een van de stranden of zeilen, windsurfen, waterskiën etc. het kan hier allemaal.
