Our luxury holiday home, Ti ker kozh, in Saint-Nic is so amazing that we would like to share it with you. The friendly house from 1933 is located 15 min on foot from the Atlantic coast, parking on the beach is free.
The house has been thoroughly renovated, it is surprisingly spacious inside (140m2) and equipped with all modern comforts.
GROUND FLOOR : A beautiful, very complete kitchen is at your disposal (see photos). Outside is a storage room with washing machine, an extra toilet and a garage for storing bicycles and surfing equipment. Two parking spaces next to the house and behind a gate. A beautiful wooden sun terrace with plenty of garden furniture (see photos).
In the garage you have a 4-person therapeutic ir-sauna with light and aromatherapy. You can listen to your own music via a Bluetooth installation that is powerful enough to resound on the terrace.
Infrared relaxes the muscles after a walk and opens up the lungs, unlike a classic sauna where moisture can hinder your breathing. More info on request.
The access to the house is suitable for stroller or wheelchair. The living room is equipped with a 49-inch smart TV with satellite connection Astra 1 and Astra 2 via satellite dish. In addition to a worldwide offer, you can also enjoy Dutch and Flemish TV channels via TV-Vlaanderen. This is very exceptional in France, because it is not available on cable. You can also bring your subscriptions (Netflix etc.) which you can watch directly on the smart TV, or you can cast from a smartphone.
Comfortable leather seats ensure complete relaxation. A PC corner with WIFI and a reading corner with quite a few books and board games are also available.
SLEEPING COMFORT : The first floor has two bedrooms each for two people, two bathrooms and therefore 2 toilets (en suite) : The first bathroom with rain shower, toilet and sink, and the second bathroom with double bath, two sinks and toilet.
The second floor consists of a spacious children's room with 1 double and 1 single bed + separate toilet and sink, Behind a double door is a large bedroom with XXL bed of 2.20x1.80. That room is equipped with widescreen TV (no Wifi) and a live hub with an old movie collection that can no longer be streamed, mass DVDs of all genres and you can also game without wifi, but bring your own console. Available for two guests as well as for a whole family.
A bed of that size is impossible to get in France, we had to import it from the Netherlands. We do not ask for an additional price for this, it is pure service because we think good sleep is important. Also on this floor there is a toilet and sink.
This makes it ideal for families, from grandparents to grandchildren, for a multigenerational holiday. But couples without children and befriended couples can also enjoy themselves here. Our own bakery is three houses away around the corner. However, partying young people are refused.
Very tall people can also come to us. This also translates into the equipment of our house. Sinks, sinks, toilets, all just that little bit higher. Firm beds 1.60x2.00m and 1.80x2.20m with quality mattresses, decent sofas, things that make life comfortable for larger or taller people. The swing on our terrace can carry a weight of 350 kg, the Lafuma seats 145 kg.
There is a toilet on each floor, each toilet has a different height so that both young and old can find the throne.
Brittany has only three seasons, spring, summer and autumn. Spring starts earlier than here, and summer lasts longer. Our winter is their autumn, so it never freezes. Many trees keep their leaves. In October there is even an été Indien and the waves of the Atlantic Ocean are high enough to surf until Easter! It rains from November to the end of February. Then we are also available for people who want to spend the holidays without much hassle. But from March/April you have nice spring weather. In every season it is better than in the North and better than the heat in the South. From April onwards, the campsites fill up.
The beach of La Palue is very well known in surfing circles and a beautiful piece of nature where the GR34 passes.
In September, the weather conditions are exactly the same as in August, but the prices halve because the French stop partying. The nature and heritage remain the same as in August, it is quieter then because there are no tourists with school-age youth.
