Peyret Bas

The rustic farmhouse has been restored and fully equipped and still as atmospheric and authentic. It is wonderfully isolated, but not remote!

The holiday home has been modernized and fully equipped. A new bathroom with a separate toilet area and a washing machine. A kitchen with stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, pots & pans. The living room has a spacious sitting area with TV and a writing / computer table and a wood stove. One bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with single beds. There is also a fifth sleeping option in the living room.

The swimming pool of 13 by 7 meters has a saltwater installation, making the water soft for the eyes and skin. There is also a TV with Dutch channels and WiFi. \

In the area you can make beautiful walking and cycling trips and enjoy the medieval villages and towns. Shopping can be obtained in the neighboring 'bastide town' Villefranche du Perigord, 3 km away. Dogs are allowed.


Nature and environment
In Villefranche du Périgord, one of the beautiful bastides (fortified towns), you can do all your shopping. There is a market on Saturday mornings and on almost every day of the week there is a weekly market nearby and flea markets are often organized.

During the summer holidays, the food markets are very popular. At this Marché gourmande you can eat the products of local and regional growers, seated at long tables.

In this part of the Dordogne or Périgord Noir, you will find many medieval villages / bastides and authentic towns such as Sarlat du Canada, Monpazier, Lalinde, Molières and Belvès. There are beautiful castles to visit around the Dordogne river and a visit to one of the many caves is definitely worth it. You will find all this in the beautiful nature of the Périgord.

You can take canoe trips on the rivers Dordogne and Lot. There are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities for sturdy walkers and trained cyclists.
