Le Mazet is a charming detached house, renovated into the ideal holiday home for one or two people. Perfect if you want to explore the Dordogne region or just relax in the private garden. Radiators and a roaring fire in the wood-burning stove (wood is provided) also make Le Mazet the ideal place for a stay from autumn to spring.

Le Mazet is accessible via the garden, a stone staircase leads to the front door on the first floor, where the living room with open kitchen is located (36m2). It is a double height sunny room with the original beams in view and windows in all four walls. There is a wood-burning stove in the large fireplace (wood is provided). It is fully equipped – a comfortable sofa, dining table and chairs, satellite TV with English channels, DVD player, wireless speaker and free high-speed WiFi (250 Mpbs +)

There is a modern, well-equipped kitchen with gas stove and electric oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle and Nespresso machine with Aeroccino milk frother.

From the living room a staircase leads to the bedroom with bathroom on the ground floor. There is a king size bed, dressing table and chair, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower, sink, toilet, washing machine and towel radiator.

Le Mazet has its own private area in the garden with sunbeds and chairs, a Weber charcoal barbecue and dining table and chairs for al fresco dining, reading, relaxing or enjoying a glass of wine. Due to its south-facing location, Le Mazet benefits from the sun from morning to evening. Guests at Le Mazet do not have access to the swimming pool, which is located in Le Mas' private garden.

We are very pleased that Le Mazet has been awarded 4 stars by the Dordogne Perigord Tourist Board on behalf of the French Ministry of Tourism. The classification is based on the facilities, the space, the condition of the accommodation and the information we offer our guests. The Times has chosen us as one of the The Daily Telegraph, the largest English quality newspaper, has published an online review of Le Mazet and rates us with a 9/10.

In 2015 we decided to say goodbye to our careers and the beautiful city of Amsterdam to move to the Dordogne, exchanging one UNESCO World Heritage site for the other!

When we first drove into the long driveway to Le Mas, we fell in love with the history, the character and the many charms of the house and the beautiful scenery around it and enjoy the animal life, the peace and quiet it offers. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

A non-refundable deposit of 40% of the rate is required to confirm the booking; The outstanding balance and security deposit must be paid 12 weeks before your arrival (we will notify you in due course).
If you book less than 12 weeks before your arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.

If you are forced to cancel, we will do our best to cancel the
re-let. If we succeed, we will give you your
refund payment minus any fees or loss of income.

We ask for a deposit of €100 for Le Mazet. We will refund the deposit within 48 hours of your departure, provided there is no significant damage.
