Apartment De Bosuil

The house consists of two floors. We live on the top floor and on the bottom floor -sous sol- are three apartments.

Apartment De Bosuil is 42 m2 in size and has a covered terrace with a seat: a large picnic table and a few wooden chairs. From the terrace you have a view of the pool and the backyard.

The apartment comes with a dining area and a well-equipped open-plan kitchen. There are plenty of pans, plates, glasses, cutlery, etc. There is also a sitting area with a sofa. The spacious bedroom has two single beds and a large wardrobe. The apartment has its own bathroom with shower and toilet. There is plenty of linen such as sheets, shower towels, towels and tea towels.

In the garden is the heated swimming pool of 5 x 12 meters. Here you can make use of sun loungers and parasols. You can also take a shower after swimming and there is a toilet by the pool.

Around the house is a beautifully landscaped garden in which you can stay.
Sun loungers and parasols are sufficiently available. In the garden there is a barbecue for all guests.

The house is in on a quiet road, just outside the village, in a rural setting.

We are two language teachers from Utrecht with a passion for France. When we were given the opportunity to buy Le Petit Bouleau at the end of 2023, we didn't hesitate for a moment: this is our dream home.
Initially it was not our intention to rent out. But this beautiful house lends itself so well that we decided to put a few apartments on the internet. Et voilà!

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Cancellation policy Apartment De Bosuil

If the renter wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, the renter must always confirm this by e-mail to the landlord (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example).
The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge;
cancellation between the 90th and the 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price;
cancellation between the 59th and the 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price;
Cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price.

If the tenant only announces on the start date or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, he will continue to owe the full rent.

Saint Pardoux-la-Rivière

Saint Pardoux is a lively village. It is located on the river Dronne, which rises at an altitude of 480 meters in the Massif Central and winds through the village. The village is part of the Périgord Vert: the largest and greenest part of Dordogne.
The cycling routes Le Flow Velo and La Voie Verte pass through the village and there are several hiking trails that you can walk from our house.
The village itself, less than a kilometre away from Petit Bouleau, has everything that makes a village attractive: a bakery, a supermarket, a few restaurants, a pharmacy, two cafes and even the most famous butcher in the area has his shop there.

Every weekend it's King's Day in the Pergord! There are the well-known 'flea market' with antiques, the 'vide greniers' (freely translated: empty attic) and the 'marchées aux puces': the flea markets. Especially the last two are very cozy and you can find special and affordable items. From 12 o'clock you can sit down at long tables for dinner. That's living like God in authentic France!

The surroundings of Pardoux are ideal as a walking and cycling area. Several routes have been set out, for both the novice and the more experienced walker or cyclist. Due to the combination of forests and open areas, there will be few moments when you will not enjoy the view.

The villages in the area are typically French with the well-known characteristic church in the center. The people are friendly and helpful. You will also find some more famous villages, such as Brantôme, with its typical shape and its striking abbey. Here you can also take on sporting challenges, such as canoeing. And if you don't want to, you can let yourself be taken on a boat to enjoy the views from the water.

There are all kinds of castles to visit in the area. These give a nice picture of the history of the area. And what about the cave of Villars: definitely worth a visit.
