Welcome to Les Crocus - La Tour

Our house is located in a beautiful, quiet place in the Perigord Pourpre, the southwestern part of the Dordogne. It is a lovely, hilly wine region with the town of Bergerac as its centerpiece.

Our house has two guest houses and La Tour is one of them. The second guest house is Le Studio, information about this can be found elsewhere on this site. The two guest houses have their own entrance and you will stay here completely privately. On the first morning of your stay, we offer you a French breakfast.

During your stay, you can relax in the large garden, by the 5 x 11 m swimming pool or on your private terrace. The swimming pool is open from mid-May to the end of September. There is no supervision and use is at your own risk. In the area you can go on beautiful tours by car, bike or on foot. There are numerous medieval bastide towns, such as Eymet, Issigeac and Monflanquin with their colorful weekly markets and restaurants, and imposing castles.
The beautiful city of Bordeaux, which can be reached within 2 hours by train or car, is also highly recommended.

And then of course there are the Routes des Vins, the wine tours with their many chateaus...

Les Crocus is located in the middle of a very quiet hilly landscape, but for more entertainment you can go to the town of Bergerac where you can reach it in fifteen minutes by car. Bergerac is beautifully situated on the Dordogne and you can make beautiful canoe trips.

The airport of Bergerac with regular flights to and from Rotterdam and several English cities is also a fifteen-minute drive away. At the airport you will find several car rental companies.

We are Elise and Victor. We went to France because of the peace, space, nature and ... the climate. We are now quite settled and enjoy everything this beautiful country has to offer. The two gîtes in our house offer you the opportunity to fully enjoy the French life.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

General:

We have a minimum stay of 4 nights
From June 27 to August 29, Saturday is basically our regular changeover day. Outside that period, there is no fixed changeover day
On the day of arrival you are welcome from 16.00 hours. On the day of departure, you must leave the gîte before 10:00 am
We use a deposit of € 250
The rent does not include tourist tax. This tax will be deducted from the deposit
We only rent to adults
You can park your car on our property
There are no facilities for charging electric cars. Charging via the regular grid is not allowed
Use of linen, towels and beach towel, wifi and cleaning are included in the price
If desired, we can offer you a good mobile air conditioning unit for a reasonable fee.
The swimming pool (11 x 5 m) is open from mid-May to the end of September, from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
There is no supervision, use of the swimming pool is at your own risk
Pets are welcome in consultation, but are not allowed in the pool
Smoking is not allowed in the gîtes or on the grounds

The payment terms:

A booking is only final after a deposit of 50% of the total rent
The remaining amount must be paid no later than one month before the start of your stay

Cancellation Policy:

If cancellation is made less than one month before the start of your stay, no refund can be claimed
If you cancel more than one month before the start of your stay, the payment obligation for the remaining part will lapse
If the house is re-rented, there will be a refund of the amount you paid
You must take care of cancellation insurance yourself
