Welcome to our family home in the heart of the Perigord
This house is above all a family story. It belonged to our great-grandparents and we were keen to bring it back to life by completely renovating it in 2018, while preserving its soul, its authenticity and the charm of Périgord houses.
With its 150 m², the house offers very beautiful volumes and can comfortably accommodate up to 7 people.
The house
It has 3 bedrooms, with comfortable and recent bedding, as well as 2 bathrooms.
The common areas have been designed to allow everyone to live at their own pace: for long tables.
The decoration mixes family furniture, antique objects and more contemporary elements. We deliberately wanted to keep the spirit of a real country house, warm and lively, rather than that of an impersonal holiday rental.
Swimming pool & outdoor
On sunny days, life happens naturally outside. The house has a large heated swimming pool, fully safe for children.
It is the ideal place to alternate between swimming, lunches, naps and aperitifs that last a little longer than expected.
A small village in the Périgord
The house is in the heart of a small, peaceful village in the Perigord countryside, away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to the main sites in the area.
Only 6 km away is Issigeac, a superb medieval village known in particular for its Sunday market. Eymet and Bergerac are also within easy reach.
The region is full of bastides, castles, vineyards, farmers' markets and good restaurants. Bergerac, Périgueux and Sarlat also make for great day trips. The nearest train station is in Bergerac.
The spirit of the house
Here, the program is quite simple: take your time.
Take a trip to the market in the morning, prepare a big lunch, enjoy the pool, take a nap, open a good bottle, watch a movie or simply spend the evening around the table putting the world to rights.
This house has been with our family for several generations and we are very attached to it. We are therefore happy to be able to share it today with travellers who have come to discover the Périgord.
We just hope that you will feel at home there, that you will take care of it as if it were your own and, above all, that you will create beautiful memories.
