Sights
The Corrèze is one of the most unspoilt areas of France and is flanked by the Auvergne on one side and the Dordogne and the Lot on the other, the landscape is highly varied and offers winding streams and famous rivers such as the Dordogne and the Vezere that travel through intensely green valleys and mountains surrounded by vast forests and picturesque villages with facades full of geraniums and cordial residents. Of course this area is also known for its red-brown Limousin cow that you see everywhere, you can also see them grazing on the "roof" of the Corrèze, the Plateau de Millevaches, the plateau of the 1000 lakes. The landscape is strongly hilly and unspoilt, such as in the beautiful valley of the Dordogne with the beautiful centuries-old towns of Argentat and Beaulieu, but also large rivers such as the Vezere which almost completely surrounds the old fortified town of Uzerche, or the River Corrèze which is surrounded by the famous proud cities Tulle and Brive runs, proud of their rich history, monumental buildings, their festivals, gastronomic festivals and markets. There are also hundreds of lakes in the Corrèze with an area of more than 3000 ha. large, the best known are Lac de Vassiviere, st. Pardoux and Lac de Val with its beautiful chateau de Val. Also visit the "red" village of Collonges la Rouge, or the castles of Turenne and Pompadour where nowadays the military equestrian training is located.
