A typical Périgourdine gîte, 400 years old and completely restored while preserving authentic details. Peace and quiet in a rural setting with plenty to do nearby for lovers of sports, history, culture and culinary specialties.
The gîte has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with spacious walk-in shower and separate toilet. You will also find a modern, compact and fully equipped kitchen. The spacious dining and sitting room with large farmhouse table and comfortable sitting area invites you to enjoy a long dinner, play games, read a book or watch TV. The wood stove adds extra atmosphere on cooler evenings.
On the 1st floor 2 bedrooms with comfortable box spring beds, mosquito nets and ceiling fan.
Outside you have an enclosed garden, where you can also park your car (shaded area) with a nice lounge sofa, parasol and dining table. The barbecue is ready for you. You look out over our field with jeu de boules court and the fields and forests behind it. Via a staircase you walk via the footpath through the meadow and garden to the fenced and heated swimming pool with large terrace, equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and a nice sitting area.
The area
There is plenty to do in the area. The beautiful medieval bastide villages invite you to take a stroll, drink or ice cream on a terrace and the local shops and restaurants offer numerous culinary specialties from the region. Visit the many castles and ornamental gardens. Or the cities of Sarlat, Bergerac or Périgueux and enjoy the architecture. Taste the wines of one of the many estates in the area.
Sportsmanlike?
There is plenty on offer for sports enthusiasts. The hills invite cyclists to beautiful rides along local roads, through villages and forests. Of course, there are also e-bikes for rent. The region has hiking trails for all levels. Rent a canoe and see the villages and nature via the meandering Dordogne, fun for all ages. Golf enthusiasts can choose from three challenging courses in the area.

Tour de France 2026
The Tour is coming to the Périgord Pourpre! On Saturday 11 July, the men will race from Périgeux to Bergerac. The riders cross Buisson de Cadouin and Lalinde, towns near Broumet.
