Maison de la Couronne is a country house newly built in 2000 in the style of the region, it is located in the western part of the famous French Dordogne. In an environment characterized by its tranquility and simplicity.

Le Coquelicot is one of the 2 gites belonging to the Maison de la Couronne domain
Le Coquelicot has room for 4 people.

With comfortable facilities such as a spacious terrace and a lovely heated swimming pool (5x10 m), it is attractive for holiday guests who are looking for a combination of peace and cosiness with a lot of living comfort.

The swimming pool is for communal use.

On the property there is also a log cabin La Cabane for 2 people.
This is suitable for accompanying friends or (grand) parents who have the opportunity to retreat here.

There is a possibility to rent Maison de la Couronne as a whole (up to 22 people).
There is also the possibility to rent one or more areas, namely: le Coquelicot, la Trémière and/or La Grande Maison.

The house itself offers plenty of opportunities to relax: on the terrace, in the pool or on the lawn. There is a table tennis table, swing, jeu-de-boules court and a fixed BBQ. There is also WIFI
available.

In the immediate vicinity of the house are numerous hiking, cycling and mountain biking trails. And of course there is the river Dordogne for swimming, fishing or canoeing.
Furthermore, the Dordogne region is known for its characteristic villages with nice
markets and delicious food.

The house is a twenty-minute drive from Bergerac airport. Transavia
several times a week to Bergerac from Rotterdam. In
Combination with a rental car a very pleasant way to visit the house.

We are Theo and Hanneke van der Kroon. Maison de la Couronne project came as our path. Passionate about the beautiful location, nature, tranquility and simplicity, we have realized Maison de la Couronne. This beautiful location we would like to share with others. Here it is possible to move away from the daily hustle and bustle of home. Where the nights are really dark with a beautiful starry sky.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

There is a possibility to rent Maison de la Couronne as a whole, so you have all the facilities for yourself.

In high season we only rent Maison de la Couronne as a whole.

Outside the high season there is the possibility to rent one or more areas, namely: La Grande Maison, le Coquelicot, la Trémière.

During this period, the entire Maison de la Couronne can also be rented.

The (heated) swimming pool is open from 1 April to 1 November.

Over the years, Maison de la Couronne has experienced that traveling through France in the summer is nicer on Sundays. This is because there is no freight traffic on Sundays and the other holidaymakers usually travel on Saturdays. We can look with you and, where possible, make use of the flexible arrival days. Please contact us for this.

Price includes:

- one set of bed linen per person - final cleaning

Cancellation policy

The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

Cancellation up to 90 days before the start of the rental period: free of charge

In case of cancellation from 90 days to 42 days before the start of the rental period: 30% of the rental price.

In case of cancellation from 42 days to 28 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price.

In case of cancellation from 28 days to 14 days before the start of the rental period: 75% of the rental price.

In case of cancellation from 14 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price.

If the tenant only announces on the day of the start of the rental period or during the rental period that he will not make any use of the leased property, the tenant will continue to owe the full rent.
