Our beautiful comfortable chalet is located at Castle Camping Chateau Le Verdoyer 4**** in Champs-Romain France (Aquitaine - Dordogne), a child-friendly holiday paradise in a beautiful hilly and green landscape. The campsite is owned by a Dutch-speaking owner (owner and kids club guidance speaks Dutch) and the reviews have been more than excellent for years: ANWB: 4.5/5, Zoover: 8.3/10, Tripadv: 4.5/5. Chalet "Belle Vue" (B18) is located in one of the most beautiful spots on the campsite with a great view and is guaranteed to be one of the most beautiful chalets. The chalet has been adapted for use by disabled guests.

Very suitable for people who like peace, nature, culture or a more active holiday (fishing, hiking, cycling, golf, horseback riding, karting, canoeing). There are 2 fishing ponds on the domain so it is also enjoyable for the painted (carp) angler. For swimming enthusiasts, the campsite has a nice swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) with paddling pool and water slide and nearby are 2 beautiful recreational lakes with beach and playground.

Our neat, attractive and comfortable chalet is fully equipped and suitable for 4 people. The chalet is fully equipped with mosquito nets and fly curtain at the patio doors to the veranda. Comfortable lounge sets on the veranda and in the spacious garden complete the picture. A dining table set, parasol, sunbeds and bbq are also available.

Our accommodation is also suitable for people with reduced mobility. For example, it has a wheelchair entrance, wider doors, no thresholds, spacious shower with sufficient turning circle for wheelchairs, raised toilet with bracket, and the larger sink is slightly lowered. Whether this accommodation also meets your specific needs depends on your personal situation. Please contact us for this, so that we can check to what extent our chalet meets your needs. For wheelchair users, a mobile hoist is available at the nice swimming pool to enter the refreshing water.

Your booking is only final after the deposit has been received by us. You will receive a 25% refund of the total amount if you cancel the holiday at least six weeks before the check-in date. If you cancel within six weeks before the check-in date, you will not receive a refund.

Saturday morning there is a market in Thiviers until 1 pm. You will find delicious fresh, local products here, and enjoy the French atmosphere.

From the 2023 season you can explore the brantome trails and the surrounding area with an electric off-road scooter.

The Cave of Villars (grotte de Villars) is a stalactite cave near Villars in the Dordogne in Aquitaine, France.

Accessible via the D82.

The cave of Villars was discovered in 1953 by the caver club of Périgueux. 13 kilometers of corridors have been studied, of which 600 meters are available for a guided tour. There are several halls.

A sound and light show will be held. There are prehistoric petroglyphs.

New for the 2023 season: A ride around the campsite on a pony!
Kids can walk around the domain's ponds on the back of a pony for half an hour.
Of course this is under supervision.
This activity can be booked between July 11 and August 22 every Tuesday between 5 and 7 p.m.

New activity on the campsite for the 2023 season

Champs-Romain is located in the part of the Dordogne called "Perigord Vert". A beautiful forest area full of small lakes and fens. In this hilly area are picturesque villages, Romanesque churches, castles and famous prehistoric caves. It is said that the best truffles come from this area, which is why so many truffle dishes are offered at various restaurants. Driving around in the car and occasionally getting out to enjoy yourself will therefore not be a problem at all. On the website perigorddecouverte you can find all kinds of information about this surprisingly beautiful area.

We can name a number of beautiful places in the area that are definitely worth a visit: Saint-Pardoux la Rivière, Nontron, Brantôme and a little further away Périgueux. There are also several markets in the area, with delicious specialties from the region, spiced sausages, nut cheese and wines. The most beautiful market is on Wednesday in Piégut-Pluviers. Canoeing is very good from Brantôme. There are beautiful tours with different distances: 4, 8, 9, 12, 16 and 20 km. Other destinations in the region that are definitely worth a visit are the new climbing park Perigord Vert Aventures and the beautiful swimming lake of St. Estèphe.

How wonderful it is to stroll through the market, taking in the wonderful smells and colors. Buy and consume beautiful, fresh regional products.

Our chalet Belle Vue is located in a great spot on the campsite. Detached, with a spacious garden. The most beautiful view over the fields, lake and a short distance from all facilities, without being bothered by it. You can park directly next to the house, in your private parking space.
