Within walking distance are a bakery, supermarket, vegetable hall, restaurants and a cafe in the village. A badminton evening or jeu de boules evening is also regularly organized in high season for enthusiasts.

The terrace has a built-in barbeque, a large garden table, a small garden table (both with matching chairs), 4 sunbeds and 3 parasols. There is a parking space next to the house.

There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy yourself in the area.
Visit a medieval town such as Sarlat with its lively market or the pilgrimage site of Rocamadour. Go to one of the many beautiful castles in eg Beynac and Castlenaud. Or visit Chateau des Milandes where Josephine Baker lived. Here you can also see a great birds of prey show. Discover the largest geological cave in the area "Gouffre de Padirac" where you can take a boat trip on the underground river. A visit to La Roque St.Christophe, a Unesco world heritage site, should not be missed. This is a 1 km long cavern with 5 large galleries. Here you get a good impression of the life of the cave dwellers. Take a trip on the steam train from Martel or take a "gabarre" trip on the Dordogne River. Rent bicycles and follow the green path past sunflower fields, idyllic villages, and nut orchards and through old train tunnels. Or rent a canoe so you can explore the area from the water. Horseback riding and golf are also possible in the area. If you would like to have a nice lunch and buy some fine wines, visit one of the many vineyards in the area, including: Chateau de Haut-Serre. In season there are also many festivals and night markets. Garden lovers should definitely admire the gardens of Marqueyssac. Or go to the gardens of Eyrignac: one of the most important gardens in France. There are plenty of fun and educational trips for children (and adults), such as the walnut ecomuseum in Castelnaud, the paper museum in Brantome, the woolen mill in Belves, a goat farm in Rocamadour, the historic theme park Bournat, the acquarium le Bugue and the largest climbing park in the Dordogne near Sarlat. There are also several prehisto parks where children can see dinosaurs or take amulet-making workshops or archery. There are also several water parks and zoos in the area.

In 2008 we came here for the first time on holiday and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the beautiful weather. We thought it was an idyllic place: not so massive and equipped with all facilities to have a nice holiday. To our surprise, the gite was for sale. We bought it, refurbished it, tastefully decorated it and equipped it with the necessary luxury for a nice holiday. We are happy to come back here every year. And with us 40% of our guests! You are very welcome with us.
