Luxury holiday home for 1 - 8 people in the Dordogne. Only 4 hours from Paris and 2 hours from Bordeaux.

With a lovely large garden, heated swimming pool and a lake with beach 150 meters away. In the area there is plenty to do and see such as charming historic villages, castles, fortresses, prehistoric caves, boat trips, karting, climbing, amusement parks, mountain biking, wine tasting and so on.

The holiday villa is secluded in a park and yet close to all amenities such as supermarkets, shops and restaurants. Golfers and padel enthusiasts can also indulge themselves: the 18-hole golf course 'Golf International de la Prêze' is a 10-minute walk away and three indoor padel courts are half an hour away.

General
The holiday home has been completely renovated and is fully equipped, such as two modern bathrooms, new sanitary facilities, Bulthaup kitchen with all appliances and Nespresso coffee machine, fiber optic internet and therefore super fast WiFi, Dutch TV, laundry room with washing machine and dryer and so on. The gite is conveniently located on the edge of the park and has an architecturally landscaped garden with fruit trees, Canadian maple trees, Cypresses etc. The garden offers excellent privacy, several terraces and an undisturbed view over the vast hills of the Dordogne.

Ground floor
The holiday home has 2 floors. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom (with double bed) and an en-suite bathroom with two sinks, bath, shower and toilet. There is another toilet in the hall. In the large utility room there is a washing machine and dryer. From the comfortable and cozy sitting room you have beautiful views on all sides.

The spacious open Bulthaup kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, oven, microwave, induction hob, two refrigerators each with a separate freezer compartment, separate wine fridge, Nespresso coffee machine with Nespresso milk frother and so on.

The patio doors give access to the terrace and veranda with luxurious lounge set, outdoor kitchen with large dining table, Weber BBQ and nice sun loungers. A hammock between the trees and you will completely relax.

First floor
On the first floor of the holiday home there are 3 bedrooms, each for 2 people. One bedroom with a double bed and two sinks, one bedroom with 2 single beds and one bedroom with a French bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom has a double sink and a shower. There is a separate toilet on the landing.

Accessibility
Villa 'Village' is easily accessible by car, plane and train.
You can fly to Bordeaux (BOD) or Bergerac (EGC), both less than two hours away.
There is a TGV train station in Angoulême, a 41-minute drive from Villa 'Village'.

Bonjour! We are Cindy Kerklingh and Eric Eijkelberg. We have been going on holiday in the Dordogne with our large family for more than ten years. In 2017 we were able to buy our dream house. Here we fully enjoy the peace, space and everything there is to do and see in the area. We would like to share that wonderful feeling with you!

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Prices are based on a maximum of 8 people staying in the villa.

A deposit of 350 euros must be paid to cover key loss and/or other damage and will be deducted from the electricity at the end of the stay.

Electricity is charged at cost price based on measured consumption.

The final cleaning is mandatory and costs 100 euros for 2 people occupancy, 120 euros for 4 people occupancy, 140 for 6 people occupancy and 160 euros for 8 people occupancy.

All linen and bath towels are exclusive.

Optional: for a surcharge of 100 euros, the house is cleaned in the meantime.

Cancellation
The landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

in case of cancellation from the day of reservation until 42 days before the day of arrival: 30% of the rental amount.
in case of cancellation from the 42nd day (inclusive) to the 28th day before the day of arrival: 60% of the rental amount.
In case of cancellation from the 28th day (inclusive) to the day of arrival: 90% of the rental amount.
In case of cancellation on the day of arrival or later: the total rental amount.

In the unspoilt hilly nature reserve of the Dordogne you can enjoy beautiful mountain biking and cycling. The owner Eric Eijkelberg (telephone 06-14584053) can advise you on routes that suit you and provide you with detailed maps with marked routes (or of course the GPS files thereof) for beautiful trips.

Various cycling routes have been set out from the park, varying from 15 km to more than 100 km. The routes for the mountain biker have varying degrees of difficulty, from beginner to expert. The same goes for cyclists.

Paddling to the rhythm of the flow. A wonderful activity, a canoe trip of a few hours on the river La Tardoire in the east or on the Dronne in the south. Along the way you will see water mills, old country houses and castles. And of course there are small French restaurants everywhere where you can also enjoy a delicious lunch.

Next to the park is a challenging 18-hole golf course. There is also a 9 hole par 3 course. This course is suitable for the less advanced player and is also accessible without a golf proficiency certificate. You can take golf lessons to improve your game. If you indicate that you are staying at Villa 'Village' you will receive a 25% discount on the green fee.

Golf at 'Golf International de la Preze'

There is a riding school near Villa 'Village' where you can ride a pony or a horse (possibly under supervision). An experience for horse lovers!

The outer circuit of Teyjat for the Max Verstappens is among us 16 km away from the holiday home. There is a challenging circuit for every age group. Let the adrenaline flow!

Futuroscope is a leading amusement park in Poitiers. With more than 70 attractions and shows you imagine yourself in the future. The park has Europe's largest cinema screen that is housed in a giant tomato. Suitable for young and old. It is quite an experience to be here.

Aventure Parc Lacs de Haute Charente is 15 km away from Villa 'Village'. Here the youth (and the adults!) Can enjoy themselves on beautiful climbing courses, close to the ground or high in the trees. With varying degrees of difficulty, there is something for everyone (including the little ones). Nothing can go wrong with professional climbing equipment.

Climbing and clambering in the 'Parc Aventure'

With its wide sandy beaches and beautiful boulevard, Royan is a very popular seaside resort. La Palmyre is the most beautiful zoo in France. With nice seal show. Well worth a visit.

The beautiful varied French landscape with picturesque villages, forests, lakes and meadows with the famous Limousines is also very suitable to discover while hiking. Directly from the park starts one of the many marked trails.

The stalactite cave of Villars is the largest underground system in the Dordogne. The underground river has carved out more than 13 km of corridors connected by corridors. During a tour you can see the spectacular stalagmites, stalagtites "holy water tanks" and prehistoric rock drawings of 19,000 years old. With sound and light show. Recommended!

Discover the charm of the Charente while cycling across the track in an open train set. Two people cycle, the others enjoy it. The route is 17 km. This is very nice and beautiful.

Bordeaux is a beautiful city in the sunny south of France. You have many beautiful squares such as the Place de la Bourse and the Place Pey Berland. These squares are surrounded by impressive buildings and beautiful statues. You also have nice museums, such as the Musée des Vins, where you learn all about Bordeaux wines. The CAPC museum for modern art is also world famous. And of course you can go shopping in Bordeaux. More than worth a visit!
