We are Remco and Gerralda Gilles and we like to welcome you in our holiday houses in France. In summer we live on a small estate in Dordogne and you can also enjoy a stay in one of our authentic French Gites on the property.
It is situated in a charming little French village, called Bussiere Badil,
which is part of the nature parc Perigord-Limousine and settled in between the green,
blooming hills and valleys of the Dordogne.
There are 2 gites, gite "Merlot" (8p) and gite "Syrah" (6p).

Location & tips

Additional information

The Dordogne is characterized by rolling hills, green meadows, beautiful sunflower fields, vineyards and varied extensive forest areas. Various streams and rivers meander through the landscape. Small and large lakes are scattered in the landscape. The summer climate is exquisite, sunny and warm. The population is very friendly
Medieval villages and towns invite you to visit.
Centuries-old houses, churches, castles and monumental buildings take you back in time. Among other things, Brantome, also known as the Venice of the Dordogne, is worth a visit. Or Perigueux, a Gallo-Roman city with its cozy narrow streets in the center and historic buildings. Sarlat, center of the Perigord, the entire city center is a monument in itself. Bergerac is a center of wine culture, with over 12 apple stations. Step back in time and visit one of the many caves with stalactite formations, cave dwellings, murals etc. For example Grottes de Villars, Grotte de Rouffignac and La Roque St Christophe. Castles built on rocks, in striking places in the landscape, against a mountain wall or in a cave ... discover the life of the former lords, knights and ladies.
Nature in the Dordogne, Perigord, invites you to go out. Cycling (we have three hybrid bikes with 21 gears available!) Mountain biking on well-marked routes, walking through the endless forests. In many places along the rivers you can rent canoes, the large lake St. Estephe is near the gites, fun on and in the water. Also go karting, quad biking, golfing and horse riding is possible in the immediate vicinity Around us are many vineyards and wineries where you can taste and buy wine "a la proprieté". Weekly markets, including those of Piegut is very famous, just 15 minutes drive from our gites. You can also visit antique markets and flea markets.
This part of the Dordogne, Perigord limousine, is known for its Limousine cattle. Let it be prepared for you in the local restaurants. Foie gras, truffles, chestnuts, nuts, Perigord cheese and duck breast ... it's all on the menu. With the wide selection of wine, culinary enjoyment is complete here.
Access: From the Netherlands it is about 1000km to our gites in the Dordogne, Bussiere badil. By plane ; with Easyjet you can fly from Bordeaux to Bordeaux or Brussels. With Transavia you can fly certain periods of the year at Perigueux and Bergerac. By train ; You can also travel to France by train. The Thalys goes from Amsterdam and Brussels to Paris and then you have to switch to the TGV line from Paris to Bordeaux.

There are three hybride bicycles available, free to use!
