The charming and cozy town of Brive-la-Gaillarde, installed in the south-west of Corrèze, is that of the famous market sung by Georges Brassens... This market of Brive, important location for gastronomy, is held three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturday mornings are an opportunity for residents and visitors to stock up on delicious regional products.

The city, very popular among gastronomes and gourmets, is also very popular among architecture and culture enthusiasts. In the middle of the historic center you can admire, for example, the collegiate church of Saint Martin, considered remarkable by the famous architect Viollet-le-Duc, and with its bell tower in neo-Romanesque style, it is protected as a Historic Monument. Built from the 12th century on remains dating from the 5th century, and subsequently renovated several times. Where the transept, part of the choir enclosure and the beautiful narrative capitals represent the Romanesque period, the archaeological crypt preserves Merovigniense and Carolingian remains of the previous buildings, as well as sarcophagi from the 6th and 7th centuries.
