Gite Les Papillons

Totally renovated farm cottage in a peaceful village in the heart of Burgundy.

The house offers accomodation for 4, in 2 double beds.  There is a cosy sitting room (TV, DVD, music), a well equipped kitchen (oven, hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and filter coffee machine.  We think we have thought of everything...we even have a kaasschaaf!

A perfect base for exploring the local area. Ideal for wine lovers and cyclists. Dogs are most welcome!

Parking is on the road next to Les Papillons, but seeing as there are only 140 people living in the village, and this is a very quiet road, you can rest assured!
You will need a car in the area, but car hire can be arranged in Montbard (15 km), where there is also a TGV train station with direct services to Dijon (40 mins) and Paris (1 hour). If you really want to escape the tranquillity you can also take a direct TGV to Disneyland Paris (1 hour).

We don't like rules, but we hope that you'll help us with a few things.

Les Papillons is recently renovated and we've put a fair bit of love and effort to create a special place for you to relax and enjoy yourselves. To help us keep the standard of the house we kindly request that shoes are not worn upstairs. So please bring slippers for your comfort!

The Internet and Orange TV are provided free of charge for our guests. It is strictly forbidden to change any access codes or access any pay-to-view services, films, TV or games. If this occurs you will be liable for all charges incurred including administration charges.

Accidents do happen. Just let us know. If nothing else we can make sure that things are put right for our next guests.

Pets are permitted but only by prior agreement with the owners. The owners reserve the right to refuse pets.

We regret that we are unable to provide facilities for charging of electric cars.

The maximum occupancy is 4. If you exceed this we will cancel the contract immediately and ask that you leave the property without delay.

In high season 7 nights is the minimum length of booking.

Whilst we welcome babies, due to the stairs and the layout of the house, it is not suitable for children under 5 years old.

Cleaning is included in the cost of rental, but we ask that you leave Les Papillons in the same state as you find it.  Basic cleaning materials are provided.

We regret that charging of electric vehicles is not permitted.
The owners are not liable for the provision of the swimming pool in the event of any local or government imposed water restrictions.

We give our guests space but are available when needed.  We are there for as much or as little as you need us. We don't meet you on arrival as experience tells us that after a long journey guests would rather just settle in. We live only a couple of minutes away so we'll pop around later to make sure you have everything you need and to introduce ourselves. After that, it's up to you...!
