In the heart of the Morvan, in the hamlet of La Maison is the detached farm 'La maison de la forêt'. It is the last house on a quiet farm road (no traffic!), Which ends in the woods. Immediately from the house you walk the GR13 hiking trail. Hours of walks without encountering anybody, dogs who can run freely, are unexpectedly eye-catching with a group of strains. It can be all here!
The farmhouse with a stable and a large grange is located around a plot of 2300 m2 of land. A beautiful place to enjoy the sun and the wide view of the hilly and wooded surroundings from the hammock or scattered seats in the garden.
The house has a bright, spacious and atmospheric living room with original old floor-standing tomats, a French beamed ceiling, a well-equipped open kitchen and a large Dovre wood burning stove. To the right of the living room are the two bedrooms. The bathroom with shower, sink and toilet adjoins the front, larger bedroom. The decor is comfortable and equipped with all the conveniences. There are hiking trails, maps and information about the surroundings, books, games, a radio, a music system with CDs and an LED TV with DVD player. The TV can be used to play movies. A large amount of quality films (arthouse) are present. Since October 2016 there is wireless and fast internet (WIFI) in the house. February 2017, an extra third-size window has been placed on the side of the living room, making it a light room and sitting out of the sofa with a magnificent view on the grounds and the surrounding landscape. There is central heating throughout the house, so it is also possible for some killers before and after the day and
Winter is pleasant and cozy. Of course there is always plenty of wood for the wood stove.
The house is fully submerged. In the basement is a washing machine (June 2015) and a freezer. There are comfortable sun loungers, hardwood garden furniture with seat cushions, a swing bench, hammocks, umbrellas and BBQ. Behind the house was a spacious and paved parking lot in October 2016.
