Bienvenue in Gîte l'Hirondelle!
From this charming one-room apartment you have a phenomenal view of the mountains and valleys of the South Ardeche. Beautiful old atmosphere, cozy and beautiful views are the key words here. Thanks to the thick natural stone walls, it stays pleasantly cool inside in summer. An ideal nature house for two lovers.
There is a sitting area with 2 nice armchairs. Near the kitchen is a spacious wooden table with china cabinet. The small but fully equipped kitchen has a 4-burner gas stove with extractor hood, fridge with freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and a small oven. The bathroom is neat and spacious with shower, toilet and sink. There is a luxurious Pullman box spring of 1.80 m x 2.00 m. On arrival the bed is made. On the large, southern terrace (16 meters wide) you can quietly read a book, eat and enjoy the sunset.
The gite is located in the heart of the Parc naturel régional des Monts d'Ardèche, un petit coin de paradis, as the French say so beautifully.
You can start walking right from the front door. This area is also a paradise for cycling enthusiasts with a road bike or mountain bike! There are many beautiful natural swimming spots in the area, with or without rocks to dive from and waterfalls.
Nice centrally located for making trips. The village of Vals les Bains is a 6 km drive away. There is the supermarket, bakery, butcher, the terrace and the many restaurants. Every Sunday there is a lively market. The recently renovated Spa in Vals les Bains is a must to visit!
Staying in gite l'Hirondelle is more of an experience. The peace, the views, the nature. If you listen carefully you will hear nothing here, except for the cheerful hirondelles (swallows) and the bells of the sheep. The terrace is a nice place to relax and in the evening it is wonderful to look at the stars. With 300 days of sunshine a year and a Mediterranean climate, it is a wonderful, hospitable holiday home from March to the end of October to stay in peace.
