Villa La Koste - with air conditioning

Our detached, spacious villa in South Ardèche is a wonderful place to spend your holiday. Villa La Koste is a modern, comfortable and bright house; entirely on the ground floor and accessible by wheelchair. There is air conditioning, so you can stay comfortably in our house even in very warm weather. The kitchen is well equipped. The house is beautifully situated, right next to the Cévennes mountain range. There are nice terraces, with places in the sun and in the shade. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the valley and the wonderful peace and quiet that prevails there. And enjoy your own swimming pool. The southern climate does the rest.

There is AIRCO in the living room, the kitchen and in all bedrooms.

There are two smart TVs equipped with many apps such as Netflix and NLZiet, for receiving (Dutch) channels. Both smart TVs are equipped with a Chromecast.

The Provencal outdoor kitchen has a large dining area. You will find a BBQ and an electric grill and griddle for preparing a delicious meal with a good glass of wine.

The beautiful valley that you look out over is very reminiscent of Tuscany, due to its hilly character and the many cypresses that grow there. In clear weather you have a view of Mont Ventoux. You are surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and lavender fields.
Your holiday home is located in the La Coste district, within walking distance of the village of Saint Sauveur de Cruzières. There are approximately 15 houses spread out in the district and the neighbors are friendly people.

Close by you will find the beautiful towns of Barjac and St. Ambroix, where you can visit nice markets and flea markets. In the historic fortified town of Barjac, the atmosphere is Provencal and this also applies to the market on Friday mornings and the evening markets that are held there. The cozy Vallon Pont d'Arc and the beautiful Gorges de l'Ardèche are also nearby.

Within good driving distance you will find many beautiful places such as Uzès, Avignon, Nîmes and Pont du Gard. In addition to visiting these places with a rich history, there are many opportunities for all kinds of sporting activities in the area. You can go for a walk on the many hiking trails that have been marked out. You can rent sports bikes, quads and mountain bikes nearby. Many courses have been set out for sports bikes. Horse riding is also possible: day trips are organized nearby by a riding school. You can swim in the Cèze, there are several pleasant beaches along this river. Nearby is a large sports center for climbing lessons, whitewater rafting and much more. Would you rather fish? Fishing licenses are available in Barjac. There are also more adventurous activities such as para gliding, wall climbing and paint ball.

The most beautiful caves in France can be found in Aven d'Orgnac and visit the Cascades de Sautadet (waterfalls) at La Roque sur Cèze. Or take a day trip to the Mediterranean Sea and the Camargue. For wine lovers, a visit to one of the many wine estates is a must! In the Cave in the village you can taste and buy regional wine.

There is a good bakery in the village for (baguette) bread and tasty pastries. We can also recommend the bakeries in Barjac. There are many restaurants in the area where you can eat for very reasonable prices, even during lunchtime. In Saint Sauveur de Cruzières you can enjoy a delicious meal at restaurant La Table à Carreaux.

You will find supermarkets nearby: there is a Carrefour Contact in Barjac. In St. Ambroix you will find an Intermarché, a Carrefour and a Lidl.
