The house can accommodate up to 6 people + 1 baby and has 3 bedrooms, 3 showers, a private swimming pool and a lovely tropical garden with lots of privacy.

The central location between Willemstad, Mambo Beach and Jan Thiel makes the house an ideal base to discover Curaçao.

After a day at the beach or out and about, you can come home, cool off in the pool and relax on the lounge terrace or under the palapa.

We are Jan & Fieneke Potveer and have been renting out our holiday home to holidaymakers since 2008
We now live, just like our children and grandchildren, on our dream island of Curaçao.
We live next to the holiday home and manage the house ourselves, this means for you as a guest a fast service if you need us.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Please note:
The price mentioned applies to an occupancy of 1-2 people.
For each additional person, € 17.50 per night is added.
Child up to 2 years free of charge.
The nightly price includes:
Gas
WiFi (glassfiber 400 MB), also by the pool
TV with all NL channels, including Fox and Ziggo sport and replay option
Use of barbeque

A towel set (incl. beach towel), bed linen and kitchen linen for each person

The nightly price does not include:
Local tax 7%
Use of water and electricity (will be deducted from the deposit)
The water for the pool comes via a separate meter and is at the owner's expense
Intermediate cleaning and change of linen mandatory for stays of 10 nights or more
Final cleaning

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

The house is located on Saturnusstraat, near the connection with the Ring and Caracasbaaiweg. From the roundabout, which is located at the beginning of the street, you can reach Jan Thiel Beach within 7 minutes. If you take the other exit at the roundabout, you will be at Mambo Beach Boulevard within 5 minutes. Via the Ring you can reach the historic center of Punda/Otrobanda in 7 minutes.
At this location you will have virtually no problems with traffic jams!

The weather in Curacao is never really a conversation piece. The average daytime temperature is 28 degrees. The average night temperature is 25 degrees. There is usually a gentle northeast trade winds for coolness. Although steel blue skies prevented, there are often loose, passing clouds that causes rarely uncomfortably hot. The sun shines an average of 8 hours per day. Because Curacao is located near the equator, the sun goes down around 18.30 and comes up in the morning around 06.00. Seasons Curacao barely knows. The average rainfall is very low. Most rain falls during the period October to December but that just means that sometimes at night a short brisk rain falls and when it rains a lot during the day once it is after the short shower immediately agreeable. On Curacao people live outside, morning, afternoon, evening and night. You never need a jacket. The seawater has a temperature of around 25 degrees.

In the Christoffel Park you can ride different routes, so that you get a good idea of the beautiful and rugged landscape and of the flora and fauna. You can also climb the Christoffel Mountain. Due to the heat, it is advisable to start the walk at 7.30 am. Good shoes and water is a must.

Here you will find all kinds of artifacts, maps, photographs, clothing and documents about the Protestantism of the Netherlands Antilles from 1635 to present.
* Museum Kura Hulanda
This is the museum with the collection of the best African Caribbean. The simulated environments and impressive collection pieces bring the African past close.
* Punda
Punda belongs with Otrobanda to the historic and vibrant heart of Willemstad. It is the Government Center, shopping and cultural center. You will find cozy streets and shops. Punda is situated on a peninsula surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, Anna Bay and the Waaigat.
* Otrobanda
Otrobanda literally means "other side". The Punda side of which was built in 1708 as Punda became cluttered. Otrobanda is a cozy network of alleys and fanciful passages, interrupted by plazas and courtyards or patios (kura). There are many historic buildings. A stroll through Historic Otrobanda is a journey through history.

The beaches in Curacao are one of the great attractions of the island. It is not difficult to find a bay. Public beaches with free access are: Grote Knip en Kleine Knip and Caracas Bay. Most of these beaches have no facilities. For private beaches with facilities you have to pay entrance fee: Blue Bay, Porto Marie, Daaibooi, Seaquarium, Mambo Beach, Kontiki, Kokomo Beach, Cabana Beach, Cas Abou and Jan Thiel.

Curacao is called a diving paradise by many. You can start the dive almost anywhere, right from the shore. Nowhere else in the Caribbean will you find so many dive sites on an island in one place. Almost all of them are easy to reach and of extraordinary beauty. There is hardly a better place for diving training. There are a large number of diving schools available. Diving and snorkeling equipment is available.

In the immediate vicinity of the house are many restaurants, takeaways and bars

In the vicinity are the following shopping centers:
Bellisima Shopping Center, Shopping Center Bloempot, Otrobanda, Punda, Salina Galleries, Zuikertuintje Shopping Center

In this aquarium you can discover the beautiful underwater world of Curacao. Besides the aquarium, there are various other attractions such as a semi-submarine boat, where you can view the underwater life and a shell museum. There is also a 3-dimensional theater where videos are rotated about the underwater life. Here you can swim with dolphins.

Animal Encounters is definitely the best project of Seaquarium. You dive or snorkel between sharks and turtles and many other beautifully colored fish. You can swim with dolphins, a great experience!
Distance from the house only 5 minutes

Van den Tweel supermarket is 2 minutes by car from the house. Within walking distance is the supermarket Best Buy and Vreugdenhil is 2 minutes by car. At 7 minutes by car you will find Centrum supermarket and Mangusa hypermarket. All Dutch products are for sale on Curacao!
