Welcome to the information of our beautiful apartment Bon Bista, Papiamento for 'beautiful view'. Our house is located in the hills of the quiet village of Barber, in the western part of Curaçao. This western part of the island is called Bandabou.

The area is characterized by hills, including the Christoffel Mountain with the adjacent Christoffel Park. The most beautiful beaches of the island are located on this half of the island, such as Kas Abou, Daaibooi, Grote and Kleine Knip, Santa Cruz, Playa Lagun and Playa Piskado. Piskado is known for its sea turtles, which you are guaranteed to find here. This quiet, less touristy part of the island is found by nature lovers and divers and snorkelers.

Here you can fully experience the tranquility of Caribbean life, while the cozy center of Willemstad is half an hour's drive from our apartment. A little further and the bustling beaches of Mambobeach and Jan Thiel can also be visited.

We, Joost and Paul, had been coming to Curaçao for vacation for years. During such a holiday, the love for the island arose. Later, the desire to live there grew. This wish was realized in February 2024. In the meantime, there has been a lot of work to be able to receive guests in the apartment. The result is impressive. Joost and Paul would like to share their love for the environment with their guests and thus contribute to an unforgettable holiday.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Cancellation policy. We have the following cancellation policy:

If cancelled within 24 hours of your booking being approved, you will be entitled to a full refund of the booking amount and security deposit (if applicable). Have you emailed us, but haven't received a response yet? Don't worry, we take the moment you send your email to us as the cancellation date.
In case of cancellation up to the 42nd day before the start of the stay, the cancellation costs are 30% of the travel sum.
In case of cancellation from the 42nd to the 28th day before the start of the stay, the cancellation costs are 60% of the travel sum.
In case of cancellation from the 28th day to the first day of stay, the cancellation costs are 90% of the travel sum.
In case of cancellation on the first day of stay or later, the cancellation costs are 100% of the travel sum.

Please note:

The travel sum concerns the basic rent plus all extra costs (excluding deposit).
Only when the landlord has approved the booking request and the 24 hours have expired, the booking is final.
The statutory right of withdrawal is excluded with regard to the rental of holiday homes. If a booking (request) has to be cancelled or withdrawn, we would like to hear from you as soon as possible.
If you have taken out insurance and you have had to cancel your reservation for a valid and demonstrable reason for the insurance, you may be entitled to a refund. Please contact your insurance company for this.
In the case of a rescheduled booking, we use the initial arrival date. If your booking has been moved to a later time and you have to cancel the booking later than the original arrival date, the cancellation fee is 100%.

The most beautiful beaches of Curaçao can be found a short distance from Barber!

Many hikes are organized on this part of the island. We have participated in many hikes, all organized by Ingrid Hiking Tours Curaçao. Really worth it!
