May I introduce myself: my name is Naomi, I live in the Netherlands and my partner, the manager of the house, is from Croatia. So I go there at least twice a year for vacation. I am the owner of the house.
When my boyfriend and I visited the house we immediately fell in love with the beautiful view! The decision to purchase was made quickly.
The "old stone house" from the late nineteenth century, completely renovated in 2020, is centrally located so that all beautiful places on the peninsula can be quickly reached. For example, you should think of Motovun, or Montona, a famous medieval Venetian fortified town that is less than a kilometer from the house. The house is located at an altitude of 200 meters so you have a great view of the Motovun and surroundings: vineyards, the Mirna valley and the truffle forests. The beaches are half an hour's drive away, as are Novigrad and Porec, with its Byzantine basilica, Roman center and large supermarkets.
Furthermore, very worthwhile; the amphitheater and the temple of Augustus in Pula, the Baredine caves, the national park on the Brijuni islands and the many beautiful towns inland and on the coast.
For cyclists, the Parenzana route (house is on this route) is a must, this was once a railway line, now a cycle route for more experienced cyclists. We also rent 2 E-mountain bikes. Not in the mood for activities? Then you can relax in the large garden with the phenomenal view and the opportunity to barbecue.
There are also a variety of very good restaurants where you should of course also try the world-famous truffles.
In short: everything is there to have a holiday you will never forget!
The house has 2 entrances: one on the patio and one on the first floor.
Layout of the house: On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with door to patio, bathroom and kitchen-diner with patio doors to the patio and cast iron spiral staircase to the top.
On the 1st floor there is a living room with large TV and Dutch channels, corner sofa, double bedroom with bath, bathroom and large terrace.
Via the stairs you reach the 2nd floor where the living room is located with a small kitchen, single bed, fireplace and phenomenal view through the large windows.
The house is a large space in which only the 2 bedrooms and the two laundry rooms are closed units.
In Motovun, 1 km away, you will find everything you need: pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants, gas station, terraces, etc.
The house is located along the so-called wine route, you can buy (good) wine everywhere directly from the winegrower himself. There is also a walking route past the house because of the beautiful view. Just below the house runs the Parenzana bike and walking route, this was the former railway connection between Trieste in Italy and Porec (Parenzo) in Croatia, built during the Habsburg Empire and dismantled between the two world wars during Italian rule.
The house takes its name from the fact that it is located on the 92nd km of the Parenzana route.
