Casa 'Pura vida'

The vicinity of the house is rural. In the village, people live mainly from agriculture and livestock. We are still working with the oxcart, the symbol of Costa Rica. In the village there are 2 restaurants, 2 football fields, a church, 3 stores a communal lounge, and a Plaza de Toros. There is in the village a fax and email capability. There are approximately 500 people in the immediate vicinity Pozo Azul.In Rio Lagarto (where you can swim in the fall of a small waterfall), Volcansito (a vukanische hump in a forest where hot water comes out) and Las Juntas (a small village with a rich gold history). The nearest beach is about 30 minutes! Casa 'Pura Vida' has two bedrooms. A recently-built with a double bed and one with bunk beds and a single bed. There is an open kitchen that has all the necessary stuff to cook your own fresh juices to make, drink and eat. There is a refrigerator with freezer and a radio-CD player. The living room is simply furnished. There is a shower with hot water and a toilet in the huis.Op the veranda is a 6 person dining table. The total floor area is 72m2. The house stands on nearly 600 m2 land with a brook in the garden. There are coconut palms, lemons, sweet limes, oranges, bananas and mangoes in april, tuin.Het own home is the perfect accommodation to base yourself for several parks in the surrounding area to visit. Shopping in Las Juntas JuntasLas is the nearest place where several shops, banks and restaurants are. People from Pozo Azul will go to the doctor and the dentist pins and etc. You can buy all the usual stuff. There is a large supermarket and everything is just a bit cheaper than in town, simply because the transport of all stuff to Pozo Azul also payable worden.Las Juntas is an old gold mining town. Swimming or fishing in Rio Lagarto LagartoRio is the name of the river that runs through Pozo Azul. In the dry season a quiet river, after a tropical downpour quite a wild river. Depending on rainfall, the river is very suitable for swimming or fishing. The river is accessible at various locations and varies greatly in depth. You see a lot of nature, monkeys, crocodiles, birds and iguanas among others. The guide rows the boat up so you can enjoy nature. Also suitable for small children.

This beautiful cloud forest is less than 35 kilometers from the house. The ride to it is beautiful, almost an hour uphill. You can use the cloud forest, bridge tours, to zip lines from treetop to treetop whizzing the hummingbirdgallery or visit a butterfly garden. It's all unique ...

The rodeo is Guancaste next to the football, No. 1 pastime. The atmosphere, the food and not harmless rodeo is something you must experience. A good friend, Leo, from Pozo Azul always knows a location for a fiesta de toros. There are no animals slain in the festivities.

Visit the National Park Carara. This forest is situated by the warm and humid and is characterized by primary forest. The Red Macaw is still here and who look closely will see many frogs. Thanks to information from Toine (the landlord) we were well aware of what to expect and yet we were very impressed (in a positive sense)! We were there in september, the rainy season, but have fantastic weather. Occasionally a large, real Costa Rican, downpour but otherwise a delightful temperature remains constant and lots of sun. The car is probably the most efficient but also by public transport and taxi services Trino (super friendly and reliable driver for reasonable rates that you can bring anywhere) it's all good! All in all, Casa Pura Vida is an absolute must!
