This beautiful detached holiday home for up to 6 people on a generous plot of 1400 m² is especially suitable for travelers who seek tranquility outside the bustling center of Mindelo. The area is known for its agricultural character. You will find small-scale farms with windmills and wells and experience how the locals live in cottages that are mainly built from recycled materials, such as corrugated iron, wooden planks and sometimes old oil drums (tambores).
The garden is a real paradise: fully fenced, equipped with various attractive sitting areas and a lovely private swimming pool that is only for your use. For the best views, climb to the rooftop terrace, where you can look out over the garden, the city, and the iconic Monte Cara.
The house has three bedrooms. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, while the other two bedrooms have a separate bathroom. The spacious living room is the heart of the house and invites you to cozy evenings, and in the kitchen with a refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, kettle and gas hob you can prepare delicious meals in complete convenience.
In addition, a washing machine, iron and wifi is also available.
Outside, your own personal paradise awaits. Relax on the spacious terrace, enjoy the panoramic views from the roof terrace or take a refreshing dip in your private pool. Whether you are looking for shade or want to enjoy the sun, the outdoor area offers all the peace and quiet you are looking for.
At no time are the house, grounds and pool shared with third parties or other guests.

During your stay, we are always there for you. Do you have questions or need help? Then you can contact me directly. In addition, there is always someone on site to assist you: during the day, gardener Manuel will be happy to help you, and in the evening and night you can contact our trusted security staff, Leao or Jorge. They are always discreetly present.
The house is only a few kilometers (about 10-15 minutes drive) from the cultural heart of Mindelo. Guests can enjoy the tranquility of the valley while keeping the town's markets, restaurants, and nightlife within easy reach. It is conveniently located for both the city beach Praia da Laginha and the quieter beach of São Pedro, known for snorkeling with sea turtles.
For an optimal stay, we recommend taking a rental car or using local taxis. The house is about a 40-minute walk from the city center.
The last part of the road to the house is a dirt road.
The airport is 15 minutes away by car.

Waste: You can place the garbage bag with household waste in the waste bin under the steel stairs outside.
Linen: Bed linen (molton, fitted sheet, duvet cover and pillow per bed) is provided in the house In addition, 2 bath towels per person (no bath towels) and kitchen linen.
TV: There is no TV available. You may need to use your own equipment for this.
(Drinking) water: Clean water is scarce. The clean water for the house is brought by tanker and stored in a water tank. We therefore ask you not to waste water unnecessarily and to take the shower times into account. This "clean" water is NOT drinking water. This water can be used perfectly boiled. For drinking water, we urgently recommend using bottled water.
The (shower) water is heated by electric boilers.
The water tap of the washing machine is closed by default. Open the water tap before using the washing machine and close it again after use.
To prevent blockages, flushing things that do not belong in a toilet is not allowed.
Electricity: The house has solar panels. However, it can happen that the electricity fails. If this occurs, it is usually short-lived. If you use candles, make sure you do not leave them unattended.
In the evening it is dark early. Around the house there is lighting. Outside the site it can be very dark.
Swimming pool: We try to keep the pool as clean as possible. However, a small layer of sand on the bottom cannot always be prevented. PLEASE NOTE: This pool is not protected by a fence.
