We are Helga and Ruud Jager and are in love with Bonaire. Next to this holiday home in Bonaire, we also rent two holiday homes on the Veluwe in the Netherlands for a number of years where you can stay with your horse.

Additional information

On Bonaire you can snorkel and dive and enjoy the amazing underwater world.
1000 Steps Beach, is accessible only via a stone staircase. This staircase is not literally a thousand steps high, it counts about 67 steps. The beautiful beach and beautiful nature make the many steps worth more. 1000 Steps Beach is suitable for scuba diving and snorkeling. Through the clear sea everything is beautiful underwater.

A visit to donkey shelter is highly recommended and is highly appreciated by children of all ages. The curious donkeys like to head their car through the car.
The Gotomer (Saliña Goto, Saliña Grandi, Lagoon Goto) is located in northwestern Bonaire and is the largest saliña saltwater lake in Bonaire. The Gotomer was formed after coral formation created a natural dam, causing the water of the lake to be sealed off the sea. The Gotomer is located in the Washington Slagbaai National Park and is an important area for the Caribbean flamingos. From a high observation point there are several benches where you have a beautiful view of the lake. From this point you also have a view of the small islands in the lake and you can see the top of the Brandaris (241 m) in the distance. The Brandaris is the highest mountain of Bonaire.

Little Bonaire is an uninhabited island on the coast of Bonaire, which is approximately 6km² in size. It is mostly flat and has a number of cacti species and some small bushes. Meanwhile, the island is protected area and forms part of the Bonaire National Marine Park. Regularly there are snorkeling or diving tours to this small island, famous for its sea horses and sea turtles
Lac is a large lagoon to the east of the island. This 8 km² shallow lagoon is of great importance for sea turtles, carcasses and other animals living here. At the bottom, sea grass grows and it has a kaleidam that separates the lagoon from the Caribbean Sea. The beaches of Lac Bay all have their own character. Where especially hip young people are on Sorobon Beach, it is mostly the local people who enjoy Cai. Some areas of this area are shielded from the public so that animals can rest.
Kralendijk is the capital of Bonaire and also the political, cultural and business center of the Caribbean island. Kralendijk is not a bustling metropolis, but exudes a serene village atmosphere.

Kralendijk has 12,500 inhabitants and is about 12 minutes drive from Flamingo Airport Bonaire. The capital of Bonaire only knows low-rise buildings, with the buildings being up to three floors high. Most houses carry happy pastel tones, which of course is the flamingo pink favorite.
