Our holiday home is located on bungalow park Sonnevijver in Rekem (Belgian Limburg). In a natural environment. Lovers of cycling, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, boating and swimming can indulge themselves endlessly. And if you want to enjoy a good book, you can find a nice spot in the tree-lined garden. ENDLESS CYCLING THROUGH THE LIMBURG LANDSCAPE
Limburg offers fantastic opportunities for every type of cyclist. On the Belgian side, you can choose from more than 2,000 kilometres of cycling routes. From the park you can cycle straight into nature. Would you rather go to the hills? Then you cross the Maas and cycle to Valkenburg in an hour. There is a special site to put together your own cycling routes.

BURGUNDIAN LIFE: SEVERAL CITIES WITHIN A SHORT TRAVEL DISTANCE The Burgundian Maastricht and the Flemish cities of Genk, Hasselt (Capital of Taste) and Tongeren are close by and easily accessible by bicycle or car. Liège and Aachen are a short travel away. For a nice outing, you could go to Tongeren, for example. There you will find the largest antique and flea market in the Benelux.

WALKING FROM THE PARK: THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ROUTES ARE JUST AROUND THE CORNER The area also offers many opportunities for hikers. Former princely estate Pietersheim (76 ha) is located next to the park and offers no less than 8 walking routes with more than 70 kilometers of walking pleasure. The variation of nature with stream valleys, wet heaths and steep slopes can amaze every hiker. Unique premium hiking trails Two of the eight hiking trails have received the Premium Route seal of approval from the renowned Deutsches Wanderinstitut. Premium routes are walks that have been assessed by route scouts on the basis of strict quality criteria. 

MORE ABOUT OUR HOLIDAY HOME
Our holiday home offers space for 4 people. Because it is located on the edge of the park, it is very quiet. There is a large garden with terrace and the presence of trees makes it shady and therefore pleasant in the summer. Be amazed by the squirrels and birds that you can see and hear around you.

FACILITIES
The cottage is fully equipped and consists of a sitting area, dining area, spacious kitchen and modern shower / toilet on the ground floor. On the 1st floor are two bedrooms with a total of 4 beds. Heating the house is done with the pellet stove, wood stove or electric heaters.
