We are Carl-Peter and Inge and last year we fell completely in love with this beautifully situated holiday home in the woods of Wallonia.

We enjoy the peace that the forest gives us and the rustling and activity of the animals in the forest. We love walks in the woods around the Domaines des Nobertins, where the cottage is set free with no view of the neighbours.

We would also like to let others enjoy all the beauty that the house and its surroundings offer.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Arrival/check-in : from 16:00
Departure/check out : before 10:00 am

Cleaning costs : For the cleaning costs, 55 euros are charged per stay for the final cleaning.

Deposit: A deposit of 100 euros will be charged at the time of booking, which will be refunded after the stay if everything went well.

Cancellation Policy:

For bookings for stays in the months of November and December 2024 and January and February 2025, no cancellation conditions apply and can be cancelled by the tenant up to 1 day in advance. The tenant must send an email or whats app message no later than 1 day of arrival at the cottage if a booking has to be cancelled in that period. Any rent already paid will then be refunded in full.

For stays in the other months, the following cancellation conditions apply:

If, for whatever reason, the tenant cannot, does not want to or will not accept the leased property on the agreed date, he must immediately notify the landlord.
A telephone notification of this must always be confirmed in writing or by emailto landlord.

If cancelled within 24 hours of booking, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
In case of cancellation up to the 42nd day before the start of the stay, the cancellation costs are 30% of the travel sum
In case of cancellation from the 42nd to the 28th day before the start of the stay, the cancellation costs are 60% of the travel sum.
In case of cancellation from the 28th day to the first day of stay, the cancellation costs are 90% of the travel sum.
In case of cancellation on the first day of stay or later, the cancellation costs are 100% of the travel sum.
The cancellation policy is based on the initial arrival date as indicated in the confirmation

The chalet is located on Domaines des Nobertins, a forest park that consists entirely of forest plots, of which only 1/3 of the plots are built on with small-scale chalets. Animals and birds have free play in the forest and are also abundantly present and often visible. This makes it a unique piece of forest where you can stay all year round with a great eye for nature and lots of privacy on the forest plots.

The chalet itself is located in one of the most beautiful places because it is built against the hill in a relatively open area towards the south. As a result, there is a lot of (sun) light on the site, but the character of a real forest plot is preserved.

The chalets of the neighbors cannot be seen or heard from the forest plot and gives the chalet a real feeling of complete freedom.

The Domaines des Nobertins has existed since the 1970s and the character of a forest park has remained intact. The surrounding forests and villages invite you for beautiful walks, riding mountain bike trails and visits to the many sights in the region.

The area surrounding the forest park is part of the Parc naturel Viroin-Hermeton, which is an official nature park in Wallonia. The Domaines des Nobertins is located almost against the Belgian / French border, if you leave the park in a southerly direction you walk directly into France.

Nearby towns such as the French Fumay and Givet offer restaurants and shops and are located on the river De Maas.

It is a quiet part of Wallonia, but that does not mean that there is nothing to do. On the contrary, there are several castles to visit, Givet has an indoor small-scale aqua park, and Treignes has a steam railway museum where regular journeys are made with authentic steam trains through the landscape between Marienbourg and Treignes. There are mountain bike trails, hiking trails and outdoor sports activities
