In our farmhouse dating from 1840, you will stay in the original and cozy downstairs living area where many authentic elements are still present, such as the 19th century stove and the built-in oak wall cabinets, thick interior walls. Nice and cool in the summer, nice and warm in the winter. There are two separate bedrooms, a new modern bathroom with underfloor heating, cozy living room with sitting area and a well-equipped fitted kitchen with all necessary appliances such as dishwasher, combi oven, etc. In the entrance is the air hockey table, guaranteed fun for young and old. The spacious covered terrace with barbecue considerably expands the living space in the summer.
Behind the house is a large fenced garden with playground equipment and play forest.
At the end of the garden there is a sun terrace with unobstructed views over the meadows where deer regularly come to graze. Since there is always only one group in the building, the garden does not have to be shared and privacy is guaranteed (the upper part of the living area is not rented out). Far away from mass tourism but with various walking, cycling and mountain biking routes directly at home. A fantastic location for those who appreciate space, tranquility and nature.
Please note: due to the historic character, there are sometimes low and narrow passages and steps on and off. As a result, the house is not suitable for wheelchairs and walkers. We like to keep our house allergy-free, which is why dogs are not allowed with us.
Near the border triangle Belgium-Luxembourg-Germany in the Belgian Eifel/Ardennes, on the Our Valley route and on one of the most beautiful cycling routes in Europe (Vennbahnroute), you will find our wonderful holiday home. The quiet and beautiful location on the outskirts of the village of Oudler, municipality of Burg Reuland, guarantees an unobstructed view over the fields and hills without being isolated. This southern part of the High Fens Nature Park, in German-speaking East Belgium, is known for its many war museums (Ardennes Offensive/Battle of the Bulge). It is an ideal starting point for all conceivable outdoor activities. Neighbours Luxembourg and Germany are less than a 10-minute drive away. In the other direction, a number of other gems of the Ardennes are within easy reach, all reachable in less than 30 minutes! In short, a region with a lot of (international) potential. Welcome to East Belgium!
