'Am Schänzjen' is right on the edge of the forest, on the southern edge of Born (municipality of Amel). The village is located in the heart of the Belgian Eifel, in the East Cantons and in the Eifel-Ardennes region, near the German-Belgian High Fens - Eifel Nature Park.
In the centre of the village, the old Freiherr-Von-Korff Bridge, built in 2016, with its eleven arches, spans the well-known Vennbahn Cycle Path. Born is therefore an ideal starting point for extensive bike tours with an e-bike, mountain bike, trekking bike or road bike. In Born, you can start a tour in the extensive cycling network of more than 1,300 kilometres of mapped out and signposted cycling and mountain bike trails.
Numerous hiking trails take you through wonderful forest and meadow landscapes. In the holiday apartment you will find - in addition to extensive tourist information - also a number of descriptions of small circular walks that start right outside the door.
The holiday home 'Am Schänzjen' is 20 km from the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit.
