In the cozy village of Niederau, surrounded by the beautiful nature of the Wildschönau Valley, Haus Sonnenalp is a stone's throw away. You can park your car(s) for free and all amenities are accessible on foot and ski bus .

Our luxury apartment is located on the ground floor. The location is convenient and ideally suited for a successful family holiday in summer and winter for hikers, cyclists, skiers, cross-country skiers and snowboarders with its own fun park and halfpipe. For the real mile-eaters, the larger Ski Welt is only an 8-minute drive away.

The distance to the gondola (open summer and winter) is 300 meters. This also applies to ski rental, ski school and (mountain) bike rental. In the summer (approx. mid-May to mid-October) unlimited FREE use of the gondola, the swimming pool, the tennis court and various discounts with the Wildschönau Card. Within walking distance several restaurants, terraces, a SPAR supermarket and a little further an M-preis supermarket.

As a small rental organization, we act as an intermediary for the homeowners and holiday guests. Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

- In the summer season, the rental price includes the Wildschönau Premium Card; it gives FREE access to the gondolas in Niederau and Auffach and the outdoor swimming pool in the valley!
This price and this availability is valid for the apartment Sonnhang de Luxe.
- The rates apply to stays from Saturday to Saturday, in certain periods arrival and departure on Sunday is also possible. For other arrival and departure days; Please contact us by email about the possibilities.
- The price does not include final cleaning, laundry and service costs
- The price does not include tourist tax (Euro 3.50 p/p/p/n from the age of 15) and € 30 reservation costs.

Wildschönau consists of 4 villages: Niederau, Oberau, Auffach and Thierbach. Niederau is the largest village and is located at an altitude of 828 meters. The valley, which covers 24 kilometres, is located in the heart of the Zillertal and Kitzbühl Alps.

Niederau is characterized by its hospitality. Niederau is a popular ski resort, with many Dutch ski instructors, partly because of its good ski facilities but also because of its good price-quality ratio.
Niederau is also perfect for those seeking peace and quiet and families with children (there are special children's playgrounds at the bottom of the slopes). Everything is gemutlich. In the winter there are 145 km of slopes, in the summer Niederau offers more than 300 kilometers of hiking trails.

Niederau has the distinction: the most hospitable and friendliest winter sports area.

You could leave the car at home this holiday: the ski lift is 300 meters away, the ski bus stop is 200 meters which takes you to the other places in the Wildschönau valley. Niederau has two supermarkets, pharmacy, and some other shops. There is also a bank, bicycle rental and several options for ski rental. The various après-ski bars and restaurants make it complete. Everything within walking distance.
An 8-minute drive away is the Wilder Kaiser Ski Resort with places such as Hopfgarten, Ellmau, Westendorf. You can even ski up to Kitzbühl, a total of 305 kilometers of interconnected ski area.

Juwel ski resort has 46 lifts, 145 kilometers of ski slopes, 50 kilometers of cross-country ski trails, 300 kilometers of hiking trails. The lifts take you to an altitude of 2025 meters, namely to the Markbachjoch and the Lanerkopf. Via red, blue and black slopes you descend back to the village and if there is enough snow even to the front door of our apartment.

Snowboarders are also welcome and can enjoy themselves in the snowpark with Halfpipe and funpark.

In addition to skiing, cross-country skiing and boarding, it is possible to skate, tobogganing and tobogganing.

In summer you can choose between a quiet or more active day. More than 300 kilometres of well-maintained hiking trails offer you the opportunity to get to know Tyrol better. In summer, when you arrive at the apartment, you will receive the Wildschönau Erlebnis Card with which you can get various offers. In the summer the gondola is free, as is the outdoor swimming pool with lovely sunbathing lawn and the Dragon Club (children's program during the summer holidays), but the museums in the village are also freely accessible.

A nice trip is a visit to the Krimml-Wasserfallen, Europe's largest waterfall, but also a trip with the adventure train to the secret gorge in the mountains.

In the sun- and snow-assured Wildschönau, both the advanced and novice skiers can get along well on the 145 km of prepared pistes. The 46 ski lifts open up the entire area from 670 to 2025 meters. Snowboarders can also indulge in the snowboardpark.Er are easy blue runs to try out the first ski techniques. Fanatical and experienced skiers can go on the freeride slopes and the huge deep snow plains. True ski fanatics can make a lovely descent on a floodlit slope in the evening. Wildschönau also offers plenty of cross-country skiing opportunities. The 50 km of connected trails ensure that beautiful trips through the valley can be made. The area offers the hiker 40 km of winter hiking trails with beautiful views of the surroundings. The mountain landscape is beautiful for four seasons, also in autumn. The Austrians call it Goldener Herbst, because of the beautiful colors. Especially when the sun shines through the colored leaves it looks beautiful. There is also a lot to discover in this period of the year. A (short) holiday is definitely worth it! When autumn begins and the forests in the beautiful Wildschönau colors turn golden red, the time of Almabtriebe and Almfeesten begins, with lots of fun and atmosphere. Deciduous trees color all shades of red, brown, yellow and gold. Lariksen also participate in the golden game; other species remain green. This creates a beautiful, natural color palette.
