Sonnenalp Mountainview

Wildschonau consists of a 4- numerous villages Niederau, Oberau, Auffach and Thierbach. Niederau is the largest village and is 828 meters .. The valley, the size of 24 kilometers, is located in the heart of the Zillertaler- and Kitzbuhler Alps.

Characteristic of Niederau is its hospitality. Niederau is a popular ski resort, with many Dutch ski instructors, partly because of its good ski facilities but also by his great-kwaiteit ratio.
Niederau is also perfect for leisure seekers and families with children (there are special children's toy cars at the bottom of the slopes). Everything is gemutlich. In winter there are 145 km of slopes, in the summer Niederau offers over 300 kilometers of trails.

Regular torchlight processions are organized by the forest.

You could leave your car this holiday: the ski lift is 300 meters away, the ski bus stop is 200 meters which will bring you to other places in the ski area as Auffach and Alpbach. Niederau also has two shops like supermarkets, pharmacy, ski equipment and ski clothing stores. There is a sofa, a bicycle rental and several ski rental. The diverse apres-ski bars and restaurants make it complete. Everything within walking distance.
An 8-minute drive from the Wilder Kaiser ski area with places like Hopfgarten, Ellmau, Westendorf. You can even to Kitzbuhl skiing total of 305 kilometers of interconnected ski area.


Juwel has 46 ski lifts, 145 kilometers of ski slopes, 50 kilometers of cross-country trails, 300 kilometers of trails. The lifts take you to learn to 2025 meters to the Markbachjoch and Lanerkopf. Through red, blue and black runs then drops you back down to the village and enough snow even up to the front door of our apartment.

The gondola is free for instance, also the outdoor swimming pool with sunbathing lawn and the Drake Club (children's program during the summer), but also museums in the village are freely accessible.

A nice trip is to visit the Krimml Wasserfallen, Europe's largest waterfall, but also a trip with the slow train adventure to the secret canyon in the mountains.
