It is a very nice house, the pool is fantastic. With the high temperatures, it was nice to stay at the pool. Too bad we had a lot of trouble with wasps. It is definitely recommended to do with a group. We were there with our children and grandchildren.

It’s got the perfect Tuscan charm, each room has its bathroom, the pool is Olympic size, the tennis court is a nice bonus and the views on Cortona is the cherry on the cake!! Highly recommend!

A great family home or for a couple of friends or a couple of couples. All the trimmings. It feels like your own home. The kitchen is fully equipped. Everything is there, you don't have to get all that nonsense like salt and pepper and oil, toilet paper, etc. That is present and you complete what you use yourself. Best house so far!!!

We had a lovely time as a family in this beautiful accommodation. Everything lends itself to a relaxing and luxurious holiday. Not a single critical note. Beautiful view, tastefully decorated. Spacious swimming pool. Clear information in advance and nice tips in the instruction booklet on site. And the tennis court/soccer field for when it cooled down in the evening was the icing on the cake. We highly recommend this holiday home!

For a (small) trip it is a few kilometers away, the country road to the cottage became very narrow due to the plants along the side. To stay in the holiday home with children, fine!

Fantastic house in a nice location close to Cortona (15 min.). Very complete. The four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms were ideal for our family with adult children and supporters. Tennis court and swimming pool were especially popular in the morning for a sporty start to the day. At the various dining spots in the shade we spent many pleasant lunches and dinners. In the afternoon we often went out to the many nice villages and towns in the area. Also visited several cozy restaurants; the pizzeria la Tufa with terrace and view in the nearest village is definitely recommended. In short, we have spent a very successful week in and around this beautiful house!

What a fantastic stay we had at Casa del Castagno!

Prior to our holiday we had very smooth contact with the owner Kirsten, once we arrived at the house Oliver was there to receive us and he told us with a lot of passion about the house and the area. The house is fully equipped and has several terraces with beautiful views. From Casa del Castagno there are several supermarkets within 10 minutes, as well as the town of Cortona, which you can also see from the house on the other side on a hill. This place was the ideal base from which to explore Tuscany - and the beautiful area and villages in Val d'Orcia.

We enjoyed it immensely and will definitely come back again!

With 3 families (6 adults, 2 teenagers) enjoyed this lovely place in Tuscany. Located at an altitude of 300m, there is a breeze so it is not too hot - ideal for playing tennis or swimming. Well equipped kitchen for excellent cooking, and even 2 gas BBQs. Beautiful bedrooms, with air conditioning and private bathrooms. High service, e.g. Printed and extremely informative booklets, pool maintenance, Green grass that is watered at night.
