You don't rent a holiday home, but you borrow a beautiful home!

Although we just paid the (rent) fee for our stay during two weeks in Notte Chiara, we actually did not have the feeling of renting a holiday home, but of having been allowed to borrow a house from the Notte family. It is a beautiful house and a beautifully landscaped garden with a very nice swimming pool, in which the love and eye for preservation of the 'old' Italian style that Jos and Carola have put into the house is clearly visible. You can see in everything that is indicated on the website: the goal to give the tenants the same feeling as they have when they stay in Notte Chiara. Everything is described in detail, how everything works in the house, the use of bicycles, what to do, the recommendations etc. etc. We feel you can't do it any better as landlords and that's why we rate this out of 10!

Good to take into account
It will be one year before another and also depending on the time of the season, but during our stay we unfortunately had a lot of problems with mosquitoes. As a result, it was actually not possible to sit outside quietly in the evening after 6 p.m. and that is a shame given the beautiful view from the terrace. Fortunately, the house is fully equipped with mosquito nets and mosquito nets for the beds. Finally, a point for people who are sensitive to sound; Not far from the house there is a railway that is regularly crossed by a train (even at night).

In short, we had a very nice holiday here, partly thanks to the nice stay in Notte Chiara. Jos and Carola thank you for this!

We endorse the positive reviews about the beautiful house, garden, pool, view and all that Umbria has to offer. However, we would like to make a comment when it comes to the nearby double railway. During the day, the trains passing by regularly and at high speed are clearly audible, but as far as we are concerned, not disturbing. However, it is different for the night when it is quiet and you are forced to sleep with the windows open because of the temperature. Then the (freight) trains that still pass by regularly are very emphatically audible and disturb the night's sleep. An air conditioner would solve this problem. N.B we have experience with living a short distance from a single railway line where trains pass at low speed from 6 in the morning to 12 at night

Also this year I really enjoyed it in and around Notte Chiara! The only point of attention is the heat in the upstairs bedrooms, but I understood that air conditioners are installed in the autumn.
