A really nice house with a lovely garden and swimming pool.
We have been here in June and July 2021 and have had beautiful weather, so good in fact that you want to look for shade every now and then and that is possible on the terrace with an electric awning. We were only the two of us, but the house has 3 spacious 2 person bedrooms and everything has been adapted to them such as plenty of sun beds etc. But also things like glassware, crockery and cutlery are plentiful. Furthermore, there is also a dishwasher that I do not remember that was in the list in the advertisement. Either way, it's there, just like everything you could want from a holiday rental. Really! It even goes so far that whether you're a Nespresso fan or more of a Senseo, it's just there.
The house was immaculately clean when we arrived and also during our stay the pool was well maintained, the garden updated and the linen changed. I think this is all taken care of by the intermediary's office. And they can arrange it there. For a small problem we needed their help and that was all handled very proactively and you were kept well informed what solution was offered and when it would be back in order. And they lived up to that with us, and always with a genuinely friendly smile.
The house is located in a spacious and neat neighborhood about 2 km outside the historic town of Pals, which is well worth a visit. The beautiful beaches of Pals are also not really far, but it is recommended to go there by car. Parking near the beach doesn't have to be a problem if you choose Platja del Grau. There is plenty of parking space and there are showers and toilets that are cleaned every morning just like the beach itself. At this beach there is also the restaurant Les Dunes where you can enjoy a nice meal.
What is also easy is the Supermarket which is a few hundred meters from the house. They have a good butcher there, sell delicious fresh cheese, spirits and delicacies. There is also a bakery and fish shop. And open seven days a week until the evening.
All in all, there's little to complain about, and we don't. It is and remains a holiday and you have to make it all yourself. But at the place, the house, etc., you have the tools in your own hands.
In any case, we enjoyed it and would like to thank Auke for allowing us to use his house!
