Nice spacious house. We were here with the family and there was plenty of room. The house is in a nice quiet place near Titisee. There is a Lidl 2 km from the house and in the (small) village of Altglashütten there are 4 restaurants. The interior is a bit dated, but that also fits in with the environment. Parking is available in front of the door.

Lovely quiet location. Cozy next to a soccer field where the school children play football during the break. Lovely bedrooms with nice beds.

We were with 4 adults and 3 teenage kids, the house is big enough and has 2 nice shower rooms.
Here and there the house could be refurbished or cleaner, we were not bothered by that and had a very nice week!! There was carnival this week, we enjoyed how we were drawn into the atmosphere by the residents.

This house has everything (including salt, pepper and other spices) and plenty of spaces you need in the house. The Wifi had failed the first week due to a lightning strike and later it turned out that the wifi in the book was ...

This house has everything (including salt, pepper and other spices) and plenty of spaces you need in the house. The Wifi had failed the first week due to a lightning strike and later it turned out that the wifi in the book was the old one. When we got the new Wi-Fi, it also did well. The downstairs bedrooms are quite damp in this summer period, as soon as we were 'home', we opened the windows to let the bedding and mattresses air out a bit.
The house is within walking distance of a good bakery and some restaurants in the village of Altglashütten. Feldberg itself is a bit further away, as are various sights. With the Konus cards, we were able to use public transport for free and got discounts at some attractions. Altglashütten station is within walking distance, here you can go in the direction of both Freiburg and Schluchsee.
What we didn't know beforehand was that this is a part of this house. In the other part, the owner's family was present every week. The owner's daughter had helped us well with the wifi and the neighbors across the street who look after the house were also pleasant to deal with.

With Celia we were able to arrange that we could stay from Sunday to Wednesday. Very happy with this flexibility. Very much enjoyed the house (spacious bedrooms, full kitchen, sauna, storage space for bicycles etc etc) and in t...

With Celia we were able to arrange that we could stay from Sunday to Wednesday. Very happy with this flexibility. Very much enjoyed the house (spacious bedrooms, full kitchen, sauna, storage space for bicycles etc etc) and in the morning enjoyed the youth of the local primary school. There were a few football talents among :). In addition, we made trips to the nearby gorge, Freiburg, Donaueschingen, Hinterzarten (excellent pizzeria Leonardo da Vinci), Schluchtsee and of course the touristic Titisee with very nice indoor tropical swimming paradise. Slopes are steep and because of this my son started cycling with a mountain bike. Many places with this one can be rented including a motor. Unfortunately, the internet was down during our stay due to lightning strikes. It was a bit of a struggle, but unfortunately this was a force majeure situation. Had a great holiday and the High Black Forest surprised us very pleasantly.

Haus vor Anker is beautifully situated in the high Black Forest not far from Freiburg, the source of the Danube and a stone's throw from the Rhine and Switzerland. And in the middle of nature. We are staying there with a group for a weekend and all amenities are present and in excellent condition. Each has its own bedroom and the beds are excellent. When the weather is sunny, you can enjoy the garden or you can easily reach the Titisee or in the forest for a beautiful walk. An absolute must for a family trip. And what we always really like; There is a bakery in the village that also bakes delicious fresh bread on Sundays.
