We have been renting holiday homes for our holidays for more than 10 years because of the peace, space, affordable luxury and priceless beautiful surroundings that these types of accommodations often offer. Villa Casa Blanca more than meets all these criteria!
After booking this villa, it immediately started well because of the nice contact with the owners. Vincent and Bochra contacted us regularly before and during our stay to provide information and answer our questions. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the (new) managers, an English couple, who live nearby.
The villa is spacious enough for 6 people and there is even enough space for 8 people when the adjacent finca is rented as a guest house. We were just the two of us and even in that case the villa offers coziness and coziness.
In any case, we usually sat outside under the porch, a lovely place in the shade but you are also nicely sheltered from the occasional rain shower we have had. We also enjoyed the large swimming pool!
Further on at the back of the detached villa and finca are the neighbors, so you don't see or hear them. They have a very nice dog who regularly comes to the neighborhood and likes to be petted. But you can also keep the gate closed if you don't appreciate it.
As the pictures show: the area is wide and really beautiful! You look straight ahead in the distance on a mountain slope with the village of Comares on top, a lovely white village and well worth a visit. To the left and right of the view it is open and you can see through the mountains. As a result, you can see beautiful skies with beautiful colors, especially at sunset and sunrise! Hiking enthusiasts can indulge themselves, especially around Comares many routes have been set out. But we also made a very nice circular route of about 7 kilometers from the villa: you walk to the deeper dam and turn left just before it and you walk along the (dried) riverbed to a red metal bridge over the river. This bridge leads nowhere (!) but to the right of it you can walk up past some houses and via the mountainside you walk back to the villa.
The road from the village of Colmenar to the villa is winding and some parts are quite steep, but that is to be expected from a location in the interior of Andalusia. By the way, the entire route to the villa is asphalted so easy to do. Colmenar and especially Comares are very nice villages to visit and a short distance by car. And also Malaga and the coast are close by and worth a visit. We mainly came for nature and with several nature parks in the area you are definitely in the right place!
In short, Villa Casa Blanca and the surrounding area completely met our expectations and we enjoyed our holiday immensely.
