Spacious house with lots of books and games. Slept well, with windows open it cools down well at night. Nice to sit in the garden and on the roof terrace (occasionally air from the farm). Very good pool in Càlig and also the beach is not far away (Viñaros, Benicarlós, Ebre delta). Delicious typical Spanish food in various villages. Had a great week!

Fantastic location in a beautiful setting. Lovely colorful house with all amenities and a great roof terrace. Enjoyed the indoor and outdoor spaces.

As before, we had a wonderful stay at Casa Calig. Contact with Margot runs perfectly. The lovely neighbors Pilar and Pablo make you feel welcome.

A lovely large house with lots of privacy, and nice garden all around, very good location, near Valencia (1.5 hours by car) so good to combine with a weekend in Valencia city. Nearby beautiful natural parks and the sea 15 minutes away, not far from the beautiful peninsula of Peñíscola. Communication was quick and pleasant! A house to return to!

Margot's commitment is great. The presence of Pilar, the neighbor, is also a pleasant thought, especially when you immediately help them out! I give a somewhat lower rating, especially as far as the location is concerned. We have been bothered for several days by the smell that blows in from the nearby chicken farm. The flies, which unfortunately turned out to be gadflies, may also be caused by the same nursery. Fortunately, I was the only one of our family who was enjoyed by these insects, but that meant that after our week of stay I had to go to the doctor at the next holiday address because it was unbearable and had to work with medication....
However, I do NOT see this in other reviews and the landlord showed attention and commitment when I reported it to her. That argues in favor of Vila Càlig!
The garden furniture could be a bit more comfortable, except for some hammocks and a few plastic chairs we thought. But other than that, a lot of love and attention is put into this holiday home!

Wonderful holiday in a real Spanish atmosphere. The dog was able to sniff and roam freely in the large garden. Delicious late and long lunch in the cafes. We also loved the beaches of Vinarós, Benicarló. The 'dog beaches' are pebble beaches, which is less nice. But despite that, a very nice holiday with the dog.

The house is nice and quiet. There is more than enough space. The house is clean and practically equipped, even the Wi-Fi was always available. Unfortunately, we had an acute water shortage and so the water was turned off once ...

The house is nice and quiet. There is more than enough space. The house is clean and practically equipped, even the Wi-Fi was always available. Unfortunately, we had an acute water shortage and so the water was turned off once a day. This is annoying, but unavoidable in such countries. About 300 meters away is a chicken farm that unfortunately produces quite a bad smell. This scent also passes Casa Calig several times a day, which is not nice. Margot the landlady is super nice and always there as a contact person. We loved the garden, the roof terrace, the kitchen and the peace and quiet. We would love to come back, thank you very much.

Spacious house and large garden. Distance to the beach in Benicarlo is approx 10 min by car. Dishwasher and washing machine gives extra comfort.

Spacious house and large garden. Distance to the beach in Benicarlo is approx 10 min by car. Dishwasher and washing machine gives extra comfort.
Beautiful roof terrace where it is wonderful to stay.
Downside: flies as soon as food is put on the table outside. In the evening there are mosquitoes, so rub it with mosquito-repellent stuff.
