Upon arrival we were impressed by this beautifully beautiful wooden house, very beautiful.
The next day we found out very quickly because our children and dog were covered in bumps and had pain and itching, that that beautiful oak tree behind has nests of the processionary caterpillar, the children were not allowed to sit in the grass for 2 days, were not allowed to walk barefoot and we had to keep the dog inside.
Saturday evening we wanted to turn on the fireplace because it was raining, it didn't work. Very unfortunate. The children have been in the bath and a gigantic foul sewer smell came out and as soon as you turned on the bubbles even more. Every bath "turns" the same again.
So unfortunately we didn't enjoy our long weekend away that much. It is a pity that the processionary caterpillar was not passed on, so we, the children and the dog were very limited and we even had to get medication so that they were less bothered by it

The house was full of flies when we arrived. That was really dirty and we really spent a whole afternoon and evening whacking. It wasn't very clean either. The interior of the kitchen really needs to be replaced. Pans are old ...

The house was full of flies when we arrived. That was really dirty and we really spent a whole afternoon and evening whacking. It wasn't very clean either. The interior of the kitchen really needs to be replaced. Pans are old and cannot be used. There are glasses with pieces coming off. The kettle doesn't work. There is no possibility to store your clothes in the bedrooms. Also, the mattresses were not really optimal. Despite everything, we had a good time eating out and exploring the area. Unfortunately, I will not book this house again in this condition.

We were with our 2 dogs a midweek in this nice house in this beautiful place and had a good time. In the cottage during our stay nothing missed or lacked. During the many showers during the week we could find 🙂 the sauna and the hot tub well and when the weather was nice we quickly went outside to make 1 of the many beautiful walks in the area. We will definitely come back!

An extremely charming wooden villa. The location is also beautiful, looking out for horses and storks nesting there. We were very satisfied and rarely complain, but also a number of flaws that can certainly be addressed. The shower is fine but the steamer is broken. The infrared sauna was the bench piece. Faucet downstairs was broken. Faucet hot tub leaks and bubbles don't work. Cot did not include a decent mattress. Upon entering it was not really very clean (cobwebs, floor where our child crawled on was dirty, windows not clean)

We would definitely not recommend this house. As far as we're concerned, it's better to look a little further.

Basically, this cottage should have everything for a nice holiday, but in practice it is less rosy.

Basically, this cottage should have everything for a nice holiday, but in practice it is less rosy.

After the first day in the house we already noticed that there were some defects here and there - light did not work, ventilation grilles had clearly not been cleaned for a long time, a large tear in the upholstery of the sofa - but nothing that necessarily had a major disadvantage for your stay. We reported all our encountered points (about eight) directly to the owner by e-mail.

However, when we wanted to enjoy the jacuzzi, it was literally very disappointing. As soon as you turned on the jets, a sewer smell that looked like rotten eggs came towards you. In addition, all kinds of black pieces came out of the pipes. Fortunately, we saw this before we were in it, but we didn't (or couldn't) use that jacuzzi. Hoping that the sauna would be more fun, we went to try it out the next evening. Earlier we had noticed that one of the planks in the bench was torn, but that is acceptable. However, when we turned on the sauna and went in a little later, the light in the sauna itself turned out not to work and the lower heating element did nothing. As a result, you were literally in pitch black, with a very warm back and cold feet. Again a disappointment.

We had specifically chosen this house because it had its own sauna and jacuzzi and both were disappointing. We again immediately reported this to the owner and indicated that we thought a form of compensation was appropriate because of all the various defects together. We did not receive an immediate response to this. After a day and a half, another email was sent to it, but again no response at all. In the end, we only got a response after we had left the house. It indicated that they had visited the house and that the defects we pointed out had not been found or were 'slightly exaggerated'. Some of our points were not addressed at all. We responded to this again to clarify our comments, but in the response we received, our reports about the defects were dismissed as 'far-fetched' and 'you can always think of something like that'. Disappointed, we left it at that, but I hope we can spare others this situation.

What struck us afterwards: in previous reviews about this house, some of the defects we found (e.g. about the sewer smell of the jacuzzi) have also been addressed before.
