A wonderful location where it was nice to relax. Plenty to see and do in the area. We lacked nothing.

We had two fantastic weeks in Beaulieu. The house is fully equipped and very cozy. Our first week was, given the cool weather, great for sports, after that we also enjoyed the lake.

We had two fantastic weeks in Beaulieu. The house is fully equipped and very cozy. Our first week was, given the cool weather, great for sports, after that we also enjoyed the lake.
Very good hiking opportunities for all levels, volcanoes, forests and beautiful Gorges, make this location ideal for nature lovers.
The lake is much livelier in warm weather than we expected with all kinds of water sports. The beach is, also for children, a wonderful place to play and cool off.... And that's just within walking distance. Compliments also to the landlords who provide a lot of information and respond immediately to questions.
We will definitely come back.

Had a wonderful week in the home of Anja and Leo! The cottage is fully equipped. Hygiene is and span, on the bedroom floor the windows are equipped with horns (no mosquitoes!) and the kitchen is equipped with everything you might need (oven, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, Senseo, cutlery, glasses, etc.). Good bathroom with a lovely shower!
The living room is great, but we didn't make much use of it, because we sat almost exclusively on the lovely terrace with a magnificent view. Eating with the setting sun: absolutely great!

As a true Dutchman, you have something to complain about: the Wifi is sometimes excruciatingly slow. Viewing a web page of Nu.nl is all very well, but a video clip on YouTube takes a little more time.

The (reservoir) lake at 400 meters walking distance is wonderful for swimming and you also have a view of Chateau de Val and the ruins of Thyziéres. The restaurant on top of the hill (within walking distance!) is run by a nice young couple and is highly recommended if you don't feel like cooking. In Bort-les-Orgues (15 minutes' drive) you can do your shopping at the extensive Carrefour and you can have a drink on the village square or eat (also lunch!) at the hotel with a back terrace overlooking the Dordogne and the village square.

Recommended in the area: hiking, the cheese route A.O.P. d'Auvergne, Puy de Sancy (cable car, 1 hour drive), Gergovia (Gallic oppidium where Vercingetorix made Caesar drip) and the beautiful surroundings of the Monts de Cantal.

All in all, highly recommended this cottage! The information the owners send you is of such magnitude that you no longer need a Trotter!

The chalet is located in a well-maintained and well-maintained bungalow park. It is spacious and equipped with everything; You notice that the owners themselves enjoy going there. There is little to do in the immediate vicinity; The artificial lake in front of the hydroelectric dam should make up for it.
We were unlucky that the bridge to town and village was closed, we had to get used to that. In the hamlet of Beaulieu there is only one hotel restaurant and that was fine but otherwise there is nothing to do and in our week second week of September there was a lot closed in the places further away.
You have to entertain yourself with beautiful walks that are extensively provided by the landlady. If you are looking for peace and quiet, it is ideal.

Great stay for a large family (6) in an area where there is a lot to see and do at most an hour's drive. Close to nature but also supermarkets / bakery in the village nearby. And good WiFi.
