Cas Laman Abou was amazing! Amazing isn't really the word to describe our experience - I don't think the word exists!
From the initial inquiry, to payments, arriving at the property, saying goodbye and the lovely message after we arrived home, were all without hassle and were so easy.
Firstly Joyce, who owns the property. She was approachable via email, quick to reply and always there if there was a question.
Secondly, the host. She was knowledgeable, was there at the end of the phone when we arrived and gave some useful hints and tips regarding the island.
Finally, the property. Words and photographs cannot truly describe the beauty of the location. Set on the edge of the cliff looking over the Caribbean Sea. The sea is a wonderful shade of azure blue and the view is breathtaking. The outside furniture of the property more than catered for our family of four (including two teenage girls!) Areas of shade complimented the areas for lounging out in the sun. Within the property, you will find EVERYTHING you could possibly need for your stay, from a cool box for days out, to beach towels, a freezer and fully equipped kitchen. It was so well equipped, we didn't eat out once! We didn't need to with a dinner with a view! As a fussy person, I couldn't fault the cleanliness of the accommodation - high praise from someone like me!
Whilst staying at the property, we hired a car - an essential if you want to explore the island of Curacao. However, the best snorkeling can be found just at the bottom of the stairs at the back of the property - your own entrance to the Caribbean Sea. We were lucky enough to see Eagle Rays, Dolphins, Turtles and many tropical fish. In the back garden, we saw Humming Birds, Troupials, Bananaquits, Striped Anole Lizards and of course the famous Iguanas.
One week was not long enough! Thank you Joyce, you own a wonderful place, in a unique location. A perfect holiday :)
