Casa Girasole is an attractive Italian holiday home where everything is there! The owner Elsa and her family are very friendly, welcoming and very helpful! The pool is large and clean and has a beautiful view. You can relax in the shade and sunbeds. Tip: take a cooler with you so you don't have to go back and forth to the house every time for your cold drink!
Around the house you can sit and enjoy the view, there is a good chance that you will see some wild animals passing by. The kitchen is so extensively equipped that you can never go wrong with crockery or glassware, even spices, oil etc. Nice large fridge with freezer!
Due to the location of the house you are dependent on the car, it is a steep climb up that takes you about 10 minutes but then you have a fantastic holiday home! Keep in mind that Lake Trasimeno with surrounding villages is not far from the house, but because of the curves on the mountain pass it will take you longer. In the nearest village of Mercatale you have a bakery, small supermarket and restaurants. Here you can find delicious bread, your small groceries and good food! We enjoyed it very much with children, family and friends!

A great place to stay with fantastic views. The place is well equipped and everything is available to have a holiday without concerns. The pool is beautiful and gives a splendid view on the valley.
Only thing that you need to take into mind is that you need to take some time to see the surroundings. It takes 1h to 1h30 to get you to the fantastic region of Toscany/Umbria, but it will bring you all the joy you need.
The host is fantastic! The welcome and the warmth of the family is more then you can wish.

Had a very nice holiday here last week. The pool is higher than the house and the view is beautiful. There is a nice shaded area with table and lounge set. We were very kindly received by Elsa after a 22 hour drive. She is very helpful with all the wishes you can think of. The region is very beautiful. Keep in mind that the last part to the house is very steep, but in first gear it works well. We were there with our 5 children and therefore needed all the bedrooms, one is next to the house but without passage from the inside. We put our mattresses in the living room, because we didn't like the idea of leaving the children alone at night. The house has everything for a great holiday, even a washing machine. We had a great time there. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful week of vacation at Casa Girasole. The contact with the landlord (Elsa) always went well. During the stay we met Elsa a number of times, a friendly woman. We arrived late in the enclosure so supermarkets were already closed. Elsa did some shopping for us in advance so that we had some food and drinks on arrival. Very nice!
The house has a real italian character. The space in and around the house was large and well set up. The kitchen has everything you need and plenty of crockery available. We found 1 bedroom a bit on the small side (2 separate 1 person beds) but we didn't need it. Outside you have a lot of seating options and the barbecue worked fine. The pool is a small climb up but there you have fantastic views and lots of space in and around the pool. The pool did get a bit dirty by the end of the week. It is not heated but still 27 degrees.
Also the presence of the towels was a fine services.

A disadvantage we found was the animal noises at night. Both dogs that barked (a lot further on) and the chickens and roosters in the area.

the road to the house is not paved, Elsa (owner) finds it annoying and has called the municipality several times. Because it is not paved, you have to be careful and it takes a little longer to get down.
Elsa very friendly comes by every now and then and has taken the children to the chickens a few mornings to get fresh eggs.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are good, but the hot water took a long time to arrive, it was more lukewarm and that is not ideal for babies.

Also, I wouldn't go here with small children. But with older children and anyone who is able to walk. do! The owner is very friendly.

If you like the peace and quiet, an ideal place. The landlady is great, cooked for us and made fresh pasta with us.
She is a real mom who you can ask anything, we miss her already.
